She always thought that she will sink in the unsterile water and so she never swam. She let it surround her, fill up her lungs.
But when an epiphany struck her that she was more than this, that there was a reason for her to live, she struggled. She struggled until she reached the surface of the impure water, flailed her arms rapidly and flung her legs to break away from the seaweed that had captivated her.
And finally She came out of the water and bloomed into something so beautiful; a lotus. She slowly opened up, petal by petal until she had become something beautiful; resilient.
