I look at the trees and all I can think about is that they are a true example of pro-social behaviour.
Now, you're wondering, what is pro-social behaviour? It means when you help others without expecting anything in return.Which is really not possible for most humans because it's our nature to expect something in return. But trees? They don't expect anything from us. They just give us a medium to survive, but they involuntary or voluntary become the source to gratify our needs. Maybe that's the reason why we destroy them.
We are afraid of expectations and trees don't have any, and that's why we aren't afraid of destroying them.
How strange, right?
