The cameras flashed as reporters swarmed around Mal who was clearly overwhelmed. "We should help her." Alex nudged Ben prompting him to intervene. "Hey. Hey that's enough." Alex's patience was being tried as she had to push through the crowd who wasn't backing down. "Is your mum still a lizard!" One reported shouted at Mal making her frown. Alex made her way to Ben and Mal's side. "You ok?" Alex toke Mal's hand while Ben addresses the reporters. "At this time that situation has not changed, we will keep you updated on if and when it does." He smiled. Alex looked up at him. He was so good at this king stuff nothing seemed to faze him, Alex on the other hand was fighting the urge to tell the reporters where they could stick their microphones. "Hey Ben! Did you ever think you'd be with a villains kid?" Another reporter shouted. "You know what.." Alex was about to fly off the handle when Mal squeezed her hand bringing her back down, she toke a deep breath and plastered on her best smile before continuing. "I think we're done here." Fairy godmother stood between the royals and the reporters. "Okay this is still a school so if you're here you're either skipping or trespassing." She stated. The reporters tried to carry on but she shushed them until they gave in and left, leaving Mal, Ben and Alex alone. "Isn't it fun being royalty!" Alex exclaimed sarcastically making the others laugh. "Don't pay any attention to them." Ben smiled sweetly down at Mal who still looked pretty shock up. "That's easier said than done." She tried to hide how all this was affecting her. "Maybe you two should go on a date? You never get alone time anymore?" Alex suggested seeing Mal needed it. "Yeah, we can.... oh wait, I have a council meeting. Sorry" he muttered.making both girls frown. Almost like clock work Evie grabbed Mal's arm "If we don't get you fitted for your dress now, you'll be attending cotillion in your bath robe." She scorned dragging Mal away. "Alex!" Alex spun around to see Ethan calling from across the lawn. "Oh shit I totally forgot." She cursed. Earning a look of disapproval from Ben. "Don't look at me like that, you got to choose who you wanted to be with. I've been sold off like a slab of meat." Bitterness lined her voice. "It's not like that Alex, mum and dad just want to make sure you'll be safe and looked after." Ben had this way of only seeing the good in everything. "Their doing it because it will gain them allies." Alex snapped back before turning on her heel to go to Ethan. "Don't forget we have that dinner with Rapuzel and Eugene tonight! Try to be on time!" Ben called after his sister as she skipped away. "Me late? Never." She flashed him a innocent smile making Ben laugh. "Hey Ethan." The smile faded from her face as she reached the blonde boy who sat on a wooden bench. "You ready?" Ethan walked off leading the way before Alex could even answer. "Such a gentleman." Sarcasm sneaking into her voice again. "Come on our parents are waiting." He huffed. "Yes sir." Alex mocked saluting at him.
