When Alex finally got back to the ship the sun had set and the sky had filled with bright shining stars that danced above the isle like fire flys.
Alex let a small sad smile cross her face at the sight."What's wrong?" Gile asked concerned snapping her her from her thoughts.
"Oh I was just thinking, all my life I've looked up at the sky's and wondered if the kids from isle see the same beautiful sight I did. Turns out the sky is the one thing that won't change no matter if you looking up from a castle or the deck of a ship. The stars will still be just as bright." Alex replied.
"I guess so. Why do you care so much for us isle kids? Everyone else turned their back on us why won't you?" Gile asked as Cj made her at over to the two.
"Because we aren't our parents. I'm spent my whole life with my parents being disappointed in me because I'm not enough like my mother, she fit into the role of queen straight away she never looses her cool and would do anything to benefit Auradon, me on the other hand I'm always saying stuff I shouldn't, I'm late, never compose myself correctly and quite frankly I can't just turn off my compassion and condemn one group of people to benefit another. I saw it when Evie came to Auradon, she wasn't evil she just wanted to make her mother proud. She pretended to be stupid just to try get a prince, she was ready to steal the wand on my brothers coronation, now she's top of her classes, she's a up and coming designer, and she's happy, she's in love and that girl she used to be is nothing more than a memory. I won't give up because I know everyone deserves a chance to be their true selfs." Alex spoke with such passion you couldn't help but feel drawn in by her words.
"You truly think we could get off the isle and live in Auradon one day?" Cj asked quietly.
"Yes I truly do."
For a brief second Cj let herself imagine how things could of been if Alex had managed to bring villain kids to Auradon. What it would be like to go to school and make friends she could have sleepovers with and talk boys with. When she realised the other two was watching she quickly tried to brush it off. " oh uh, oh Alex you should really go back to the room, if Uma comes back and you're still out her she won't be happy." She stuttered.
"Of course wouldn't want to upset the sea witch." Slight bitterness in her voice.
"I'm going to miss you Alex, you're not as bad as I thought you'd be." Gile spoke up as they headed below deck to Harry's room.
"You're not so bad yourself." Alex smiled as Gile flung his arms around her picking her up effortlessly in a hug. "Never stop being you alright." Alex added as he set her down and opened the door revealing harry sat at the desk.
"I promise Lex." Gile added before heading back up to the deck. Leaving Alex standing at the door her smile quickly vanishing when she noticed Harry.
"Cj filled me in." He explained his eyes not leaving the desk.
"She didn't seem to impressed..." Alex tried to change the subject.
"What do we do?" Harry's face was sad when he finally looked up at the short blonde.
"We do nothing, there's no winning this for us, if we tried to run where would we even go they'd find us in the isle in no time and I don't have the buzzer to get us out. So what happens tomorrow happens we go with it and accept we was pawns in a bigger game this time. Just don't forget about me please." Alex ran her thumb over his check her eyes lost in his as if they was bound by something deeper.
"I'll never forget you princess." Harry planted a soft kiss on her red lips.
Alex eyes flickered as a playful smile crossed her lips "hey I mean this was all your fault anyway." She nudged him playfully.
"You walked right in to our trap." Harry laughed.
"How could I not follow you with those eyes and that god dam smile, you should come with a warning." Alex laughed back causing smiles to grow on the pairs faces.
"Let's not forget none of it would be possible if you hadn't gone to lady Tremaines and started on me." Harry tickled her sides making her fall to the floor but not before she pulled him down with her.
"Yeah I wasn't your biggest fan..." Alex stick her tongue out playfully.
"If looks could kill I'd be ten feet under."
"You would have deserved it, stealing from such a sweet little girl." Alex taunted.
"Speaking of that day..." Harry stood up and started searching through one of the draws of his desk until he found what he was looking for a smile crossing his face as he hid it behind his back before helping Alex to her feet. "...I got you something..." He stood behind her placing the pearl necklace Alex had been admiring the day they met around her kneck.
"Harry you didn't." The biggest smile crossed Alex lips as she admired the necklace.
"It's no diamond ring.." Harry added nervously.
"It's so much more Harry! Thank you so much it means the world to me." Alex flung her arms around Harry's neck genuinely so happy that he paid attention to such a small detail f when they met, it meant the world to her she'd have that small gesture to hold onto even when their love was torn apart. For the rest of the night the two sat on the floor smiles still on their faces as they reminisced about their brief time together. A short but strong love story filled with ups and downs and a ending that left the characters heart broken but a love story they'd never change.
