Two days passed of trying plan after plan to try make their parents rethink the wedding, but it was useless no matter how hard they tried their parents found a way to turn it for the better. The misfit group of teens had decided to meet again with only one day left to put a stop to the wedding stake were high and you could cut the tension with a knife.  Alex, Mal, Evie, Ben, Harry and Gile all sat around Alex's room, they had spent the last hour trying to think of new ideas but manged to find a issue in every one which only made their anger grow. People dismissed themselves one by one until only Gile, Harry Alex and Mal remained.

"You could just tell everyone Ethan's gay?" Gile blurted.  Mals and Harrys attention spun to Alex at the sudden outburst of critical new information.

"Wait Ethan's gay?" Harry finally broke the silence.

"He is..." Alex gulped. "But we cant out him that's really not fair on him." #

"Erm we should go I'll see you later." Mal dismissed herself and Gile leaving the young couple together.

"Why did you not tell me?" Harry mumbled.

"It's his secret to tell, I made him a promise the day I came back that I would let him tell people when he was ready." Alex explained uncertainty lacing her voice.

"You're right. I'd do anything to be with you, but it would be wrong to throw him into the firing line to get what we want." Harry agreed.

Alex expecting to be ridiculed for keep such a big thing from Harry was taking completely off guard by his calm demeaner. "We cant do that to him..... Maybe its time to throw in the towel guys, we've tried everything we can and its not even fazed my parents." Alex voice was barely a broken whisper, her face was filled with sadness as she surrender to the inevitable.

"No we'll find away.." Harry argued, Alex cut him off before he had a chance to finish.

"Harry there's nothing else to try. I love you so much but we're never going to win this fight no matter how hard we fight."

"There's got to be something we can do." Harry's voice was desperate.

"It'll take a miracle to stop the wedding at this point." Alex tried to hold back the tears that pooled in her eyes.

"Then run away with me, I know you say the guards will find you but isn't it worth a try." Harry took Alex's hands in his begging her to fight for them.

"Not at the risk of your freedom Harry. They'd have you back on the isle as soon as they find us." She pulled away. Tears streamed from her blue eyes down her rosy cheeks as she surrendered to the pain.

"It'll be worth it for more time with you." Harry relentlessly fought refusing to give up on them.

"I'm not letting you give up your freedom for me, I love you to much to let you make that mistake."

"So we just give up?" Harrys voice radiated across the room.

"Do you think its not killing me to even consider a future without you? Id give up everything to be allowed to be with you but it'll never be enough Harry. We was doomed from the start and we've just been fooling ours thinking we could change anything."  Alex snapped, her voice cracking as her heart shattered into a million pieces.

"I don't want to lose you." Harry begged.

"You need to let me go, CJ and Gile need you here and if anyone finds out about us you'd be shipped back to the Isle. Its best for everyone if we pretend this never happed." Alex knew her words would hurt but she needed him to see it was for the best.

"Is it what you want?" Harry hopped a thousand times over she'd tell him she didn't want to let him go.

"Its what I need, please don't make this any harder than it already is." Alex pleaded.

"Ok, but promise me one thing." Harry wiped the tears from Alex eyes as he spoke.

"Yes?" Alex choked.

"Promise to never forget I'll never stop loving you." His eyes searched her the same way they did on their first night together on the deck of the Jolly Rodger where they fell in love.

"I promise..." Alex placed one last delicate kiss on his lips wrapping her arms around his neck and his strong arms engulfed her like a protective blanket. They stayed wrapped up in each other for a minute savouring every  last moment. As their finally good by came to a end Alex flashed a sad smile.

"What you thinking princess?" Harry tried to sound less broken than he felt but it wasn't a easy task.

"We may not have got a happily ever after but we came pretty close."  Alex smiled through her tears remembering the amazing moments they'd shared in their brief time together.
