"How much Keira of Earth, do you know about our kind?" Keira faced Aeden the faerie on the throne, "only things I've ever read in books, but they've all appeared to be wrong" the light bell like tinkling appeared to be Aeden's laughter, "Faerie's are seen as cute and ethereal beings, yes that may be true in some regard, what the human stories leave out is the most crucial detail about who we are" she paused, a small little pixie came and landed on her shoulder, it seemed to be tending to her wing.
"Faerie's aren't just cute magical creatures, we are warriors, bred to defend our own, there are more then one type of faerie of course, The fae you have seen so far are winged, Faeries of the light"

Aeden seemed to wince, the pixie sung sweetly with an apology before continuing, "there are darker fae you don't see, which is why the night can be dangerous to inexperienced fae such as yourself. There are also wingless fae, elves, in actuality calling them elves is seen as offensive" Aeden stopped again, the Pixie had now called a small group of glittering spiders down from the rooftop to spin a fresh layer of gossamer.

"In our world, Elves are called Seelies, Seelies are of the sun and the light whereas the unseelies are of the dark and the night, we have a peace treaty with the Seelies, but no one in a very long time has heard from the unseelies" Aeden seemed to clench her hand, she was in pain, the small pixie cast what looked like a cloud of blue dust over the wing, it seemed to calm Aeden's pain.

"So avoid the forest at night if you want to live. The dragon territory is forbidden, currently we are at unending war with the dragons, we have informants, Lupin and Destery whom I'm sure you're likely to meet, the unicorns and merfolk are also allies, that however does not mean their lands are not dangerous to the fae."

Keira felt like she'd just sat through one of her Ancient history lectures, "I fought for my home and it cost me my wings, it cost many fae their lives" Aeden's eyes saddened as she looked at Alister, "The war took the life of Ze's father, King Arthur" "King Arthur?" "Before you ask, yes, the same King Arthur in your story books, the very Man the legend of the sword in the stone was written about, although they left out the part about him being Fae."

Keira's head was spinning, she loved the legend of King Arthur and had actually met King Arthur! "What happened to- your mother, her name is Guinevere isn't it?" Alister nodded, "Jean isn't my birth mother, that's why I don't look like my brothers, it's also the reason I'm the only Fae, Jean is a Seelie, my father asked her to protect me" again Keira's head was spinning.

"And the nights of the round table, Guinevere, what became of them?" "Like my father, the knights lost their lives, Lancelot and Percival are the only two who survived, my mother she-" he's words caught, "The grief was too much for her she-" he couldn't finish, but Keira knew what he meant.

Keira hugged him, "I wish you didn't internalise these things, I wish, you'd tell me Al" she felt him relax, "would you have believe me two days ago if I told you my father was King Arthur and I come from a world of Faerie's?" She laughed, "no, not quite."

"One last thing, we have to go meet your brother" "great you're dragging me to LA" Alister laughed, "He's here, in the Faerie court."
