The underwater city was incredible, it shone like diamonds reflected in the bioluminescent light. It seemed to Keira the entire underwater city was made of glass, some you couldn't see though, it was mostly likely on purpose. Keira digressed, this was a sight to behold. mermaids swam around, enjoying what she assumed was their version of "day light." Some were joyous, others seemed like they swam with a purpose, what that was Keira had no idea.
"We need to find a healer, Zeph's fading." Keira snapped back, "Don't worry Al, we're going to help you, Keira let him lean an arm on her so Lupin could share some of the weight. Keira could see how deeply soaked the fabric over Al's wound was, she worried, Lupin was searching for a healer, he knew what to look for, she didn't. Keira felt useless. "Here! quickly Keira, let's go." Lupin swam through an opening, a mermaid with coral coloured hair, shrieked, upon seeing Zephyr , she called for help.
"Will he be okay?" Keira asked, afraid to leave him, "Keir, I'll be fine, don't worry about me, just concentrate on the mission, and come back for me after." "But Al-" "But nothing." He said sharply, "Take care of her Lupin." "I will." And with that they once again separated. Keira could feel it again, the spinning, the shallow breaths, was she really having a panic attack, and here? "Keira, breathe. You're fine, Zeph will be fine, just breathe." Lupin suddenly had his hands around her arms, she was light headed, they sat down, on a near by rock, and Keira breathed, when things became clearer, she gathered herself, Lupin's presence unwavering, he kept her steady, and she would never forget it, it was the first time someone had brought her pack to earth when she'd slipped into a panic.
"Do you get these attacks regularly?" Lupin sat next to her, "I'm not good at being okay." She sighed, "And you're worried about Zephyr?" Keira nodded, "I can't lose someone else." Lupin took her and squeezed it, "You aren't going to lose anyone Keira." She smiled and exhaled, letting a breath out she'd been holding in, "I know this world is a lot to take in, and you must be overwhelmed, but we need to continue forward, there's so much we need to find out while we're here." Lupin looked at the glass city, "I know, we should get moving."
