A/N: Sorry for being absent for a few days. Almost a week, aye? I just had my semester finals.... aand it's finished! Whohoo! (Wiping sweat off the forehead) And then came Eid! A very belated Eid Mubarak to all of you! Or Humba Mubarak! 😁

Now let's get on with the story (rolling handsleeves over the elbow)! Who is excited to read our Omkara's reaction to Gauri's soon-to-be-husband?! Well I do! (grinning)

Ok...ok.. Let's just.. get on with it..

*******************************

Gauri sat in her room looking at her phone screen wondering whether she should call him or not. Anika had adviced her to give him some time. With the way he had suddenly got up and left clearly showed his ire. His anger towards her.

Well, he should be! It was all her fault after all! She should have asked her mom about the person who sent the proposal, right? He didn't even think of marriage! Now, how would they get out of this bloody mess?! Damn it! He wasn't even talking to her! Well, isn't that just the icing on the amazing s**t cake that is my life?

She suddenly stood up.

No. I can't just sit here doing nothing. And I just know what I should do.

*******************************

Gauri stood in front of their tree-house and watched a broad-shouldered figure sitting alone.

Her guess was right. He was here.

She climbed the stairs and stood in front of him.

"Why did you come here at this hour?" He asked softly without looking at her.

"To find you, of course." Gauri replied as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Why? What if I hadn't been here?"

"I would have walked to your house, then. And if I wouldn't have found you even at your house, then I would have stepped out on a Omkara Singh Oberoi man hunt. As for the why... well, we need to talk." Gauri said, as she sat next to him with a 'thump'.

"What else is there to talk? You are getting married." Omkara said, still not looking at her.

"Yes. I will get married. But to you, Om. You know I love you. Then how can I marry someone else? That's just not possible." Gauri whispered to him as she tried to hold his hand, which he removed from her grasp.

"But you said 'yes' to the proposal." Omkara stated as he finally raised his head and looked her in the eye.

Gauri gulped nervously and took a deep breath.

"Well... that's sort of my mistake. Do you remember the day you sent me roses, I mean, the day after we confessed ourselves to each other? You told me, there will be a surprise for me waiting at the house. And the instant I entered the house, mom informed me about the proposal.. And.. the only thing that came into my head was you. That you sent me the proposal. I- I felt so happy.. so much that I didn't even ask my parents who sent them, because I thought it was you. And then roses arrived. I even messaged you, thanks for the second gift. But you never replied to that.
I am sorry, Om. I am really sorry. We are in this huge mess all because of me.." Gauri finished speaking, and covered her face with her hands as she cried softly into them.

She felt hands wrapping around her wrists and pulling them away from her face. She lifted her head and saw Omkara gazing at her lovingly. She wrapped her hands around him and cried into his shoulder.

"Om.. I only want to be with you. I- I can't even think about being away from you! Then how can I live with someone else?! We have to do something!" Gauri moved away from him and looked at him as she said, "You love me, right? Let's run away and get married in a court! We will tell our parents later on that we had feelings for each other but were shy to tell them.."

"No, Gauri. We will get married. But with everyone's blessing and grant. We will have to do something.. something that will cause this proposal to break before going ahead and no one's family gets to deal with any sort of embarassment in the society. You get it, right?" Omkara explained as he held her to make her calm.

Gauri nodded as she stood up and looked to him.

"But what?" Gauri asked him, as she watched him stand up as well.

"I have a plan. You will just have to follow it and pray to god that it works." Omkara replied as he gave her a reassuring smile.

"I am scared, Om. If nothing works then court marriage is our last option, alright? I don't care about anything else. I will not marry anyone other than you. You get it, right?" Gauri said to him.

"So eager to marry me? Am I that good in bed?" Omkara smirked as he puller her in his arms.

Gauri blushed as she wrapped her hands around him.

"Yes, I am very eager to marry you. And why not? You make me feel things I haven't felt with anyone else! As for being good in bed... you will have to show me again, and then only I will give you the verdict." Gauri said as she smirked back at him.

Omkara chuckled as he hugged her. He pulled back and kissed her on the lips. He held her face as he gazed at her lovingly.

"I swear to god, Gauri. I won't let you be anyone else's. Because you are mine. Only mine, Gauri. And you will become my wife. Not someone else's. I give you my promise." Omkara said to her.

Gauri smiled at him tearfully, as she said, "I have faith in you, Om. I know you will make everything right. And I love it how you feel possessive about me. Makes me think of you more manly."

Omkara tickled her in the stomach as she laughed loudly.

"Manly, huh? I will show how you, how much manly I can be!" Omkara said as he laid her on the bed.

"I can't wait." Gauri whispered as she pecked him on the lips.

"I love you, Gauri." Omkara said, softly.

"I love you too, Om. Now show me!" Gauri replied as she pulled him closer.
