Phil's POV

Phil was surprised at PJ's apology. He was surprised that he had admitted threatening him in front of everyone. Phil had convinced himself that he was going to have to hide himself from PJ and Dan, not just physically.

But no, he was wrong. And Dan had forgiven PJ. That was what had scared Phil the most, that he would have caused two best friends to hate eachother.

But none of that, none at all, could compete with what he felt when Dan held his hand.

The way his heart had felt as if it were floating, and that nothing could ever bring him down. The feeling had only lasted for a second, but Phil had swore he would carry it with him forever.

And the best part of all? It gave Phil hope, hope that Dan shared his feelings.

Louise and Tyler had been acting weird though, especially when they saw him and Dan together. He didn't know what that was all about.

Now they were all sitting, him, Dan, PJ, Louise and Tyler, laughing and talking like a normal group of friends did. And Phil actually felt as if he were actually friends with these people, rather than the false feelings he had shared with almost everyone else.

"So... how would you guys feel about coming back round mine after class today? My parents are out on some trip for something I don't really care about." Tyler said, and shrugged his shoulders. "I mean, it's just an idea."

"I'm sorry Tyler dear, I do value your friendship, but I'm not sure if I am ready to spend a night with four men just yet." Louise said, and added "But I'm sure PJ, Dan and Phil would all love to go."

"Me? But you barely know me." Phil said, looking at Tyler.

Dan rolled his eyes. "Like Tyler would leave you out. Like I'd let him." A warm feeling spread throughout his chest as he looked over at Dan.

Love. It's called love Philly. It's the feeling you get when the most beautiful person in the world is standing about 10cm away from you.

"Besides," Tyler said pointedly, "you lot barely know me, remember."

PJ nodded. "Sure Tyler. I'll come, Dan?"

"Yeah, ok." Dan turned and faced Phil.

Why is he so goddamn perfect?

"Phil?"

"Huh? I mean, yeah I'll come, I've got nothing better to do." he said casually, hoping nobody had caught him intensely staring at Dan's face.

"Ok!" Tyler said enthusiastically, beaming at them. "I never really had that many friends to hang out with before I came here.

"College?" said PJ.

"No, England. I moved here from Michigan a few years back because of some... family stuff and lets just say that at my high school-"

"Secondary school" interjected Louise, and PJ rolled his eyes in response.

"Secondary school, whatever, people there didn't like me, apart from the odd few, and we were kinda know as the 'outsiders'." Tyler said, but he didn't look particularly bothered about it. "What can I say, you Brits are weird."

"What happened?" Louise asked curiously, "What 'family stuff'?"

Dan shot her a look and PJ said through gritted teeth, "Louise". Phil, yet again, felt extremely uncomfortable.

Tyler shrugged. "It's fine, it's all just finances and economy and stuff like that I still don't really understand, but because of that mom and dad had to come here to get 'better jobs'. I think there's probably something else they're not telling me but they let me come to college, luckily, and then, well, here I am." Tyler put his hands in the air and smiled, and Louise continued to pester him with questions.
