Phil's POV

The train journey back home was strangely silent. Phil wasn't really used to travelling home on his own, usually his friends caught the train back with him. But he had ditched all those friends for Dan.

Phil didn't regret it either, walking with Dan for all of five minutes, even if it did mean he had to finish his journey back alone.

He rested his head against the window and closed his eyes. Tomorrow, he would stay with Dan and his friends. They'd probably be better company, anyway.

Some of Phil's friends had been his friends since they were little. But there weren't that many of them. Most of the big group he hung out with he had only known for a year or less. He was only with them because he was considered 'popular'.

He had known Dan for a day and thought he was a better friend than most of the ones he already had.

He just felt so alone. More alone than he ever had. He lived alone, that was bad enough. His brother, Martyn, was in America working with his soulmate, who he met two years ago. His parents, well, Phil didn't want to think about his parents. They weren't really available for comforting talks and support right now. Or, ever.

So that just left his friends. Who were all too busy caught up in their own lives and had their own problems. Too busy to care, or take seriously, Phil's problems.

That was what had led him to create his online persona, AmazingPhil. Back when he was in secondary school, when he first felt like he wanted to talk to someone and nobody was available, he had ended up on the internet.

Ended up on multiple social medias as AmazingPhil. On social media, it was like he was a different person all together, and there were so many people who he could talk to anonymously. These online people cared a lot more about him than any person he knew in real life did.

The train pulled into Phil's station and threw Phil back into reality. Still slightly in his thoughts, Phil stumbled as he got up. Face red, Phil got off the train and walked down the slope to the exit.

His phone buzzed in his pocket. He had a message from one of his oldest friends, Ana.

Phil smiled as he sent the last message. His and Ana's parents had been friends, which had led to him and Ana becoming friends.

There was nothing romantic at all between them, they weren't soulmates, as they had met before they got their watches. Ana had already met her soulmate anyway, when she was 8, a girl named Liz.

The wind had started to pick up now so Phil wanted to be inside as quick as possible.

Compared to the walk to the train station, the one to his flat was pretty uneventful. Dan wasn't there to walk with him.
