Well that was... Underwhelming. I was expecting to feel, I don't know... Different? I start to walk off, almost forgetting about my companions behind me. 'I will stop him, I will!' I continued into the tall grass, blinded by determination. A wild Patrat, walked up to me. I crouched down and greeted it,
"Hey there buddy, do you mind telling everyone here not to attack? I'd rather not see you guys hurt, but if you want to fight don't do it until you feint, okay?" It squeaked and ran off. I looked behind me when I heard Cheren ask how that pokemon didn't attack me. I turn and motion for them to follow me. "It's okay! They won't hurt you!" We continued through the route, when a small Lillipup decided it wanted to battle me.

I let Zorua off my head and the battle started, since it was my first time using her in battle, I was pretty unsure of what she knew. 'You have no idea what your doing do you?' Zorua inquired.
"That obvious?" I replied with little thought, forgetting that my company couldn't understand Zorua.
'Oh, ya're a new trainer? I'll go easy on ya! Hey, I'll even come with ya, if ya win!' The Lillipup barked.
"Ok Lillipup, I'll take you up on that offer. Zorua do you mind scratching him?" And Zorua followed my commands almost instantly. 'Ok, get used to this.' "Zorua, Scratch again as a counter attack!" I commanded, as I saw Lillipup going for a tackle. Lillipup has taken two direct scratches, I really don't want to hurt it any more... "How much more fight do you have Lillipup?"
'I think I have a bit more, why? Ya give up?' Oooh, them be fighting words Lillipup!
"Zorua, pursuit!" Zorua looked back, and used the dark attack. By the look on Lillipup, it was a hard hit. "How about now Lillipup?"
'Ok, ya got me. That last attack caught me off guard! Pass down a ball now, would ya?'
Rummaging through my bag I found a pokeball, "Here you go, press your paw against it." Lillipup did just that and the ball shook three times then clicked. I let my new friend out and gave it an oran berry that Juniper gave me. "Come on, we gotta get to the next city!"

I was about to start walking again, but someone held me back. It was Hilbert. "Hill? What is it?"
"How'd you do that?"
"What do you mean?" That question confused me. 'What did I do?'
'Dummy! He's talking about us, you know me and puppy down there?!' Zorua growled in my ear. Oh, I forgot they were even there...
"Zorua, help me here what do I say?" I whisper to my pokemon. 'How should I know? I'm too young to know what to do right now. I'm going back to sleep.' Zorua hops back on my head and goes back to sleep after saying her piece. 'How am I going to explain this?'
"(Y/n), who are you talking to?" Cheren's voice startled me, and I turn quickly towards him.
"I think we should just keep moving, don't you?" I said trying to avoid any more questions. Lillipup hurried beside me, and we walked into the next area, Accumula Town.

"Hey, guys, can we go to the Center? I want to stock up on a few things." Hilbert asked. We were going to go there anyway Bianca and Cheren need to heal their pokemon and I wanted to by healing supplies. Bianca cornered me while her pokemon were healing.
"So (Y/n), how did you get the pokemon to do what you wanted? It was like you were having a conversation with them! But that can't be right, pokemon can't speak like people."
"No they can't, besides the ones who can. The ones who know telepathy for example. But there are people who can, like understand the pokemon. I don't know B, I can just understand them... I don't know how, I just can..." I sigh. Crap. Did I just tell Bianca that? I look at her and see her wide eyes, her open mouth and the excitement just ready to over flow.
'You, might want to run.' Zorua barks, I nod thinking it was the best idea, but she must have seen my plan and she grabbed my arm.
"Did Zorua just talk to you?"
"Maybe... B listen, don't tell anyone. I want my past buried and forgotten, my skeletons cremated, and ashes spread. Please, promise you won't tell?"
"Ok, can I at least tell Cheren?"
"Fine, but there will be blood if any of you tell." Off she goes to tell one of my secrets. Friends can be bothersome.
