Happy Ending

(Y/n)'s POV

~The next day~

"(Y/n)-nee, wake up! Wake up! I'm bored!" Shiki yelled.
"Ugh...it's only 6am..."
"But still, I'm bored. Kirito promised to take us out today. Come on, hurry up and get ready," he exclaimed excitedly before running out of my room.

I sometimes wonder how he could have so much energy this early in the morning... Well, I guess it was to be expected of someone so young.

Within a few minutes, I had changed into (outfit) and went outside. Tch, he told me to wake up early and yet, he wasn't even here yet.

How long would they take? I've already been waiting here for 15 minutes. I swear if this was a prank....

Suddenly, I was knocked to the ground. Kirito was on top of me. Once we made eye contact, I immediately blushed. A loud boom interrupted my thoughts. Kirito quickly got off me and pulled me up.

"Oi Shiki, who do you think you're attacking? You almost hit (Y/n)!"
"Sorry! I was trying to aim at you, it's not my fault that you always move around!"
"Then what else am I supposed to do?! Stand still and get attacked?! In your dreams!"
"Be quiet! Is this what you guys were doing?! Do you know how long I've been waiting here?!"
"Oh, look who's talking! Don't you think you're being too loud?!" Shiki argued.
"What is going on here?" asked father.

We immediately stopped and everything became silent. Nobody dared to move or say a word. To be honest, I think we were all waiting for someone to break the tense silence.

"*sigh* Why are you three causing such a big fuss in the morning? Your mother is still sleeping."
"Oh, sorry father. It won't happen again," apologised Shiki.
"Sorry, your highness. We'll make sure this doesn't happen again," added Kirito.
"Sorry father. We were just trying to go out."

He stared at us for a while before finally leaving. We all let out a relieved sigh and looked at each other.

"Come on guys. I have no idea why you two were fighting in the morning but we should get going."
"As you wish, milady," Kirito replied.

I lightly punched his arm. He just laughed and put an arm around my shoulder. Shiki held my hand and smiled at me.

~Some time later~

"Oi, Kirito! (Y/n)!" Klein yelled from the other side of the market.
"Hey guys, how are things in Swilvane?" Kirito asked.
"Things are back to normal and Asuna hasn't done anything since you two left."
"That's good to hear. Where's Andrew?"
"He's..."

Why wouldn't he finish the rest of his sentence? I followed his gaze and noticed Andrew squished between two stalls. Why was he there?

"What the hell is he doing?" Kirito asked.
"*laughs* I think he's trying to surprise us by hiding but obviously, it turned out to be a failure," Shiki replied.
"Yeah, this boy's actually smart," commented Klein.

I sweatdropped. Suddenly, Klein collapsed and fell to his knees.

"Klein, what's wrong?!" Andrew asked worriedly.
"*coughs* I...must've gotten infected...by some of Asuna's...poison."
"Don't worry, Klein. (Y/n) and I will go find the antidote."
"But-"
"Shiki, look after those two for me."

Wait, but...how was a little boy supposed to look after two adults?!

~When you arrive in the forest~

Kirito had dragged me all the way here, refusing to explain any of it to me. No matter what I said, he'd just shut me up with a kiss or some kind of weird excuse about the antidote.

Soon, after what felt like a few hours of walking, we arrived at a clearing in the forest.
The sight was something that I'd never forget. It seemed as if this place was from a dream. Everything was lit up with little fireflies and decorated with vibrant flowers.

"How..."
"You know...I've always wanted to express my feelings but I could never find the right time. Whenever I tried, something would come up and the chance was gone. Now that everything is over, I wanted to do this for you, even if it's something small."
"About the poison..."
"It was all set up so that I could bring you here, including Shiki waking you up."
"And the fight?"
"Well, that just happened..."

I giggled and hugged him. Now we had our own little place we could sneak out to...

"Thank you so much!"
"That's not all I prepared for you," he replied.
"There's more?"

He nodded and clicked his fingers. Immediately, darkness surrounded us and my sight was clouded. I couldn't see anything, nor could I feel anything.

"Kirito? Where are you?"

There was no answer. I took a few little steps forward, trying to remember the place. If I was right, there should be a-

Ah! Damn it...to trip over a rock like this...huh? What was this? It feels like a door. A door in a clearing in the forest? Was that normal or was I dreaming?

I grabbed the doorknob and twisted. Once the door opened, I fell down and into the tunnel until I finally landed on the soft ground.

"Surprise!"

I stumbled back from the shock, but someone steadied me from behind.

"So? How is it? Do you like it?" Kirito asked.

Everyone was here. This...did they make this underground city?!

"I made this a while ago but never found any reason to use it. Well, now I do. (Y/n), I love you."
"Kirito..."

He lifted my chin up and kissed me. Everyone cheered, which caused me to blush. Did he have to do that in front of everyone?...

"I love you too."

He smiled and kissed me again. I hugged him. I would never forget this. This was the first time anyone has ever done something like this for me. He made a secret underground city...for me...I smiled and hugged him even more tightly.

"Who dares give you permission to love and touch my daughter as you wish?"

How...did father get here?!
