Lucy gasped. "What do you mean mom's not dead!?" she yelled, surprised
Mitsu sighed before he ruffled his long black hair. "I mean that mom faked her death so that she could look for me. She was worried and thought that if she could find me, she could send me back to the Heartfilia Estate. But that didn't happen because Doku wouldn't let me leave hi side. That just made mom stay with me instead. She thought that Jude would protect and care of you. Not hurt you. And she regrets it."
Lucy was slightly shocked but not as surprised as she thought she'd be. To be honest, she had a feeling that her mom, who was walking and laughing one minute, then catching an unknown illness and dying, was to good to be true. Unrealistic. Lucy smiled before she started to laugh. Tears was starting to fall down her face. Tears of joy.
"Oh gosh, she's alive. Mom's alive." Lucy laughed again in relief. All her life she thought she'd never see her mom again. That her mom was forever gone and she would be alone for the rest of her life. But no, fate must be on her side today. Her mom was alive. Lucy looked up at the sky with a smile on her face.
"I'm glad she's alive." Lucy said before turning to Mitsu. "Hey Mitsu?"
"Hmmm?" Mitsu was staring at the waterfall.
"Where is mom anyway?" Lucy asked
"She's at the cave that is on the other side of the waterfall, waiting for us." Mitsu said with a dazed look in his eyes.
Lucy stared at him. "Mitsu? What's wrong?"
"I sense a presence near by. Along with something dark following it." Mitsu said. "Lucy. Come. I'm gonna take you to mom and when I do, I'll go and see what's going on. Okay."
Lucy nodded in understanding. Something was out in the forest, something bad. But what? Mitsu took Lucy's hand and dragged her towards the waterfall where there was a cave hidden by magic.
"Akiraka ni suru." chanted Mitsu. When he said this, a gust of wind blew and the side of the waterfalls walls opened up to reveal a cave and inside the cave was a woman with blonde hair and brown eyes. She looked sad.
