Annoyingly but not surprisingly, Taehyung paid for his half of the meal even though Alani said she would.

He even bought them desert.

"It's nice to be around a gentleman" Alani said during their goodbyes, and the next day things were back to normal.

She was in the middle of managing her son for school while getting herself ready for work, "Mommy may I wear my cape-"

"Angel not now...put your uniform on and come in so I can tie your tie"

She heard him groan and she gives him a warning "If I hear that sound leave your mouth again..." Alani filled in her eyebrows and walked into her room to find angel trying to fix his own tie she sighs softly and walks over to him, "No mommy I can do it..."

She walked him struggle for a moment before she took over "This is something your dad should have taught you but...he barely even picks you up from school..."

"Look at you...I'll teach when you're a little older" she lightly pinched his cheek, angel was pouting again with tears swelling in his eyes "Oh no what's wrong"

She wipes a stray from his cheek, "Daddy doesn't like me anymore" and this is what broke her heart for the rest of her day, she couldn't exactly tell him that he wasn't right because it wasn't like it was a lie, angel's dad stuck around until he was two.
Some how angel remembered his father coming to get him on certain days and that made it worse.

"After school we'll get real ice cream okay?"

"I don't want ice cream...bye mommy..." he unbuckles his car,opens the car door for himself and proceeds to walk into the school,Alani frowns.

But still made it to work, Fran met with a "Hey" and Alani replied with a solemn expression, "What's wrong?"

"Angel...he was upset about his dad" and she exploded tears fall out her eyes and Alani nearly fell to the floor but fortunately Fran was close enough to catch her, "No,no,no come on lets sit down"
She quickly guided her sobbing friend to a stool, "It broke my heart seeing him like that, and over someone who doesn't deserve his tears"
She cried into her friend's bosom.

"Well it's his dad..and he doesn't even know about all the things he's done so you can't blame him for being a little sad" Fran shrugs, "You should have seen his face...he was shattered" she breaths.

"Look...my little sister is coming home from college and needs some money, she can babysit angel so me and you should go out tonight"

She shook her head "I can't...Angel is so much work-"

"Alani stop!...we're going out whether you like it or not and you are going to drink and forget about 'he who shall not be named' "

Alani smiles weakly, "Alright I'll go" Fran claps her hands together, "Yay finally we haven't gone out since 10th grade...wow...it's been that long"

"Well someone had a baby in 11th grade" she points her thumbs at herself, Fran sighs "Shit happens"
