Namjoon walked up to his aunt and uncle, they jump from his presence after hearing the screaming match their son and nephew just had upstairs.
"Hey guys, I'm gonna go" he gives both of them big hugs, "You're coming back right" his uncle laughs after feeling the tight bear hug Namjoon gave.
"Uh yeah, maybe...me and Taehyung got into a little fight, I'm gonna let him cool off"
"Whatever it is, I'm sure you guys can work it out" Mrs.Kim said with a serious expression, Namjoon stares at his aunt's face but gives he her a little chuckle.

"Heh, yeah...I'll talk to you guys later" He grins before leaving, just as he left the restaurant, Alani came down the steps out of breath.
"Hi, did Namjoon leave"

Mrs.Kim nods.
"Go to him please"

Alani turns to the door of the restaurant and freezes, she hesitated going after him, for some reason she felt so awful.
Seeing his expression as Taehyung aired him out made her think of her father yelling at her before kicking her out...the one person you thought you could trust saying the meanest things they could possibly think of to you.

But she was scared, what if he got mad and took it out on her? Alani thought back on his expression of heartbreak again and allowed that to take over her body and leave the restaurant.

Namjoon was starting his car until he heard his passenger window thud, he looks up and saw Alani standing there with widened eyes.
He quickly looks away, "I'm leaving okay? ...I won't come back this time"

Alani shook her head.

"What do you want from me?...Please..."

"I wanna know why you did it?"

Namjoon froze, "I-I'm not a snitch"

"You're not a snitch for a power hungry, evil icarus who made you stoop from your own vague levels of morals?"

Namjoon sighs before unlocking his car, Alani shook her head "No thank you I'm okay right here"
Namjoon nods "Thats fair...okay, uh- he never told us much. He just sort of us told us someone put a bounty on your heads"
Alani frowns, "W-what?...you were supposed to kill me?"

"N-No! No I was-I was  just supposed to scare you, I'm sorry about all that. I know apologizing won't make things any better but sometimes material things and misunderstandings can cause so much chaos" he tries to laugh off the situation, Alani chews on her lip in thought, causing an awfully awkward silence.

Namjoon clears his through then chuckles "Man, I loved stories in Ovid's Metamorphoses...Icarus wasn't my favorite story though, Book III... Echo and Narcissus"

Alani looks at him with a unreadable expression so he just continued to talk, "You know with Echo being in love with a man she could never confess to...cliché, it's like John Hughs read it once and based that on every 80's classic he created-"

"Why are you telling me this?"

"I was just-"

"Never mind...that was rude..."

"Uh no, I was just simply...talking too much, I just assumed you used icarus and thought you were referencing the book"

"Icarus is a very common term for a tyrannical person"

Namjoon shook his head, "No I know I was just thinking, you went to that really good school I wanted to go to as a kid and thought you lea-"

"He told you that too?"

"Uh...yeah, I just thought they made y'all read Metamorphoses because it was in the curriculum" Namjoon, Alani cocks an eyebrow at him, "How did you even- nevermind...thanks, by the way" She said abruptly before walking away.

Namjoon watches her then begins to feel his heart slow down, "What the fuck?" Namjoon rubs his chest, he didn't have too much coffee...in fact he hadn't drunk coffee in weeks...why was his heart racing?

He shook his head and started his car.
