Today is the day. I never imagined that he'd be the one, but yet he was. He started out being a devil, the one everyone would fear and avoid. But he was different now. Something has changed inside him. It's as if love opened the doors of his heart, once a bitter organ, black with greed and power. Now it's lively; crammed with the passion that united us to make a whole.

And today we were going to adhere the bonds.

Taking another look at myself in my mirror, I looked so much different than I normally do. All of the caked dirt was washed away, revealing my silky skin and chestnut hair. I smelled of lavender, a miraculous difference when compared with sweat and blood.

My hair was tossed up in a messy yet elegant bun, my veil flowing over my face. But my dress was stunning. It was a pearly white, lined with emeralds and diamonds with a matching green sash in the middle. It resembled the forest, the rich green hues making my eyes pop.

And get this: I was actually wearing makeup. I looked like a completely different person, and in a way I was going to be today. I was going to be Mrs. Pan, Queen of Neverland. The title itself made my palms sweat with anxiety. My heart flutters.

"Julianna?"

It was Carl, the youngest Lost Boy at age six. He was to be our ring bearer, wearing a green suit. He appeared to be in quite an uncomfortable state. Actually, most of us were. The uptight clothing was making us all gag.

"Wow, you look pretty!" He giggles, coming up to embrace me. His arms only reach my waist, and I bend down to give him a peck on his forehead.

"And you look so handsome! Look at you!"

He cackles in that little kid way of his.

"Julianna, Peter's ready. He's waiting for you." He whispers in my ear.

My blood runs cold. Sure, I was ecstatic about marrying my true love, Peter Pan, but at the same time I was scared. To vow to someone you will spend the rest of eternity with him, literally, was a huge deal. But I was determined. I was ready.

"Okay, Carl. How about you get going, then. I'll be right behind you."

Carl nods and heads out of the tent. I go over to the counter and grab my bouquet of flowers. They were white roses with leaves coming out the side. A few of the Lost Boys got them for me this morning.

The music starts to play...my cue. With a shaky breath, I step outside the tent and start walking to the beat of the tune. Peter stands at the end, readjusting his suit. His, unlike the others, was black as night. He looked dazzling. His eyes trailed to me, and they immediately softened when he saw me, a cheeky grin spreading across his face.

As I stepped in front of him, he mouthed the words 'You look gorgeous' to me. I smile back.

Felix stood next to us, serving as our "priest". No one here really new what to say, so Felix just made it up as he went.

"We are here today to join the bonds of Peter and Julianna. Peter, do you take Julianna to be your...uh...wife?" Felix pronounces.

"I do." Peter says, and slips on my ring. It had a large emerald in the middle, with a few smaller diamonds incasing it.

"And do you, Julianna, take Peter to be your husband?"

"I do." I giggle, slipping on Peter's ring.

"Well, I guess you guys are married and should kiss now." Felix grumbles, turning away.

Peter and I stare deeply into each other's eyes. Then he lifts my veil behind me, and we both slowly lean in and kiss.
