The noise of the curtains violently being drawn made Colin stir under the sheets of his bed although he did not fully wake up, only rolled over onto his side. Then, he heard her voice and that was the strangest thing he could think of hearing early in on a Friday morning.

"Wake the hell up before I go and get water to throw over you." Katie held her coffee and presentation sheets under her arm as she opened the second curtain in Colin's bedroom to expose his delicate eyes to the bright light of the 11am sun.

"Katie." He moaned loudly, still not making any attempt to move from his spot in the bed. It took a moment for everything to process in his mind before he sat up in bed and looked at her in disbelief. "Katie? How the hell did you get in here?"

"You really shouldn't keep a key on top of your door Colin."

"You broke in?"

"It's not breaking in if I use a key." She had not stopped buzzing around the room, taking the occasional sip from her coffee. She managed to locate where exactly it was in his wardrobe that he kept his suits.

"You're coming in without my permission so- same thing."

"Oh c'mon, it's not like I haven't done it before. Now what are you doing still in bed? We have that presentation today."

"Can't I go back asleep for just-"

"Colin it's eleven o' clock, and the meeting with the board members was supposed to be at nine." She spoke matter-of-factly and stood at the end of his bed with her arms crossed. She was definitely furious with him but wasn't letting it fully show... just yet anyway.

"Okay, okay. I'll get up." He groaned.

"Oh take your time. I know it's really hard for you to actually do a full day's work and all. You weren't supposed to wake up three hours ago or anything." Passive aggressive sarcasm oozed from her voice then. A frustrated sigh could be heard coming from her mouth as she walked toward the dresser near his bed and picked up the coffee she had brought for him.

"I would get up, but I sleep naked- or maybe you want to stand there and watch me get dressed?"

"Now is not the time for your incessant flirting. Don't worry, I was just leaving. You better be ready to go in less than five minutes or I swear to god Colin-"

"Sure you were." He grinned at her as he took the coffee from her.

"I'm telling Laila." Katie said dryly as she left the room, clearly joking.

"Telling her what? That you wanted to see me naked in here? That you turned up to get a little action?" Colin said loudly so that she could hear as he began to get changed. His playfulness made Katie roll her eyes to herself, he really was the most ridiculous person she had come across so far.

"A little action? Christ no, I can get my own boyfriend. I don't need to steal anyone else's." She called from the other side of the door making him laugh a little.

"Whatever you say Katie."

Within a couple of minutes Colin had appeared from his room, ready to go. But before they reached the front door he had stopped in his tracks and taken out his phone that he began texting on. Katie tapped her foot impatiently as she waited before questioning him.

"What are you doing?"

"Give me a minute Kate, I need to text Laila."

"Surely you can do that in the taxi on the way to work."
