Because of Edryn's accent, I realize that some of the words she says have to me misspelled. I'm trying that out in this chapter. If you guys don't like it, say so and I'll stop.

[Third person pov | Front of the class]

Everyone stared at Edryn, and Edryn stared right back, her gaze unwavering. She kept her eyes cold and guarded, her gaze sweeping over the crowd. They were nothing special, she supposed. The blonde one who'd cluelessly asked for her height was rather odd, and she could feel a great power radiating off of him. He was someone to keep an eye on. There was also this dude with hair that greatly resembled a bird's ass glaring at her, and she didn't know why. Did he have something against short people? If not, he definitely would when Edryn was done with him.

"So, go ahead and introduce yourself to the class. Tell us a little about yourself." Iruka urged. "I'm Edryn Hallowhill, and I'ma dwarf, if yah haven't noticed." She said. Sakura's hand shot up immediately, her eyes wide with question. Edryn raised an eyebrow. Sakura took this as a sign to ask away. "Where are you from? How come I've never seen you around?" Sakura asked. "Well 'ou probably haven't seen m' because I'm so feckin' short, but also because I used t' live up in th' mountains with m' clan." The class erupted with giggles at her joke. Edryn snorted lightly.

"Well, why are you down here now?" Sakura questioned. "Because they're all dead! Massacred, I tell yah. They were good people, no doubt. Shame they had t' go." Edryn cleared her throat a little, pushing her emotions down. "Massacred?" Sasuke asked in a cold tone. "Murdured, killed, whatevur 'ou wanna call it." Edryn waved her off. "Why aren't you upset?" Ino asked in a meek tone. That was so sad... "I had my cry. No use bawlin' 'bout it now, is there? Just gotta find out who did it and chop off their feckin' balls." She said harshly. Iruka stepped forward slightly, hands twitching. In the end he said nothing.

"Any survivors?" Sasuke asked gruffly, clearly curious. Her clan had been massacred too. She knew pain. "Yep. Me." Edryn thrust her thump into her chest, looking rather serious for someone so small. Despite being short, she did look their age, oddly enough. She was just... she was just really small, that's all. It was very hard to take her seriously, especially when she was wearing rain boots and a skirt. She was cute, in a childish sort of way.

"What do you like to do in your free time, Edryn?" Iruka changed to a lighter subject. "Make stuff, I guess. Drinkin' rum. I waz the reinin' champion, I was." Edryn said proudly. "Wait, rum?! Like beer?" A girl asked loudly. "Not the same thing, but feck yeah." Edryn laughed loudly. "But that's illegal! You're just a kid!" Sakura said loudly. "There ain't no, what do yah call them here? Laws. There ain't no laws in th' mountains." Edryn grinned. The class awed. Rum... they didn't really have rum here.

"Who do you think killed your clan?" Sasuke was still curious. "Yer a depressin' one." Edryn eyed him. "My clan was massacred too. By my brother." The room went silent at these words, all of them looking away. "Damn, that's harsh. I'm purdy sure it wuz a rival clan, or somethin'." Edryn scratched the back of her neck. "O-Oh, well how about we change the subject? Edryn, you can sit between Sasuke and Naruto." Iruka forced a smile. Edryn shrugged. "Aight, yah abomination." Edryn said. "W...What?" Iruka stuttered. "Yer the reason the gene pools needs a lifeguard, yah stutterin' pansy. Be more bold." Edryn said in a demanding tone as she climbed onto the desk, siding over and into the seat. Her eyes barely peeked over the table.

"O...Oh." The class laughed at their sensei's dumbfounded face. "'At's what I thought." Edryn mumbled, looking around. Her eyes landed on the book-filled bag by Sasuke's feet. She reached down, grabbing it and pulling it up withe ease. "I'm borrowin' this." She told the Uchiha, who nodded. He eyed the girl as she shoved the bag underneath her, sitting on it and resting her elbows on the table. He'd never seen a dwarf before, let alone one he could relate to.

"Hi, I'm Naruto Uzumaki! Believe it!" Naruto said loudly. "Nice t' meet yah." Edryn yawned. "I'm going to be Hokage one day, believe it." Naruto said excitedly. "Guud luck then." She gave a thumbs up. "Really?!" Naruto screeched. The dwarf was unfazed. "Yah sound like a flyin' bison that's got a thorn stuck in it's paw." She said. "Flying bison?" Naruto asked in awe. "Huge, they are. Huge." Edryn played with the pencil in front of her. Naruto grinned at his newest friend, "Cool."
