Liam hadn't known what to do as he stared down at Alec's still from. He thought about calling Scott and passing along the information but a anxious feeling stirring in the pit of his stomach stopped his actions. Instead, he baulked up the courage to stop Haven and ask her for a ride. She shot one look at Alec and nodded, stiffly, ecpressing that he was lucky that Alec was with him and that Sinema was close to closing or else she wouldn't stoop so low as to do him a favor.

Liam carried Alec's body outside, waited for Hayden to lock up and then open the backdoor, and stuffed his body into the backseat. Liam also got in the backseat, moving Alec's head so it rested comfortably on his legs. Alec groaned in his sleep and shifted, curling on his side and wrapping his arms around his waist.

Hayden watched, passively, from the front seat. Seeing how scaring Liam acted towards Alec almost made her regret all the horrible things she'd done to him. Almost. But picturing the blackened eyes and broken nose of her sixth grade picture and remembering that it was captured forever for anyone to see made her blood boil. Her eyes narrowed back onto the road but flickered back when Alec let out a groan and sat up in the backseat.

"What the hell happened?"

"You fainted. Genius."

Liam muttered for Hayden to shut up under his breath. She glared and flipped him off via the mirror. Alec chuckled and leaned his back against Liam's side. Liam wrapped an arm around him. Something about that simple action seemed to snap something inside of him because Alec was scrambling away from him, eyes wide and mouth hung open slightly as pants slipped out. Hayden's foot slammed on the break and she turned in one solid swift moment.

"Okay, did someone give you something at the club? Because you are tweaking real hard. What the hell is wrong with you."

A slender finger pointed at Liam. Alec's mouth opened and closed several moment, as if his thoughts were scrambling around inside his head and he coudlnt firmly articulate them. His hands scraped around the door as they pressed rue button to unlock them and then threw then door open, stumbling outside and racing down the road. Liam shoved his own door open, yelling over his shoulder for Hayden to stay there, before chasing after him.

Alec was running fast, faster than any human should he capable to run. That's because he's not human his brain supplied. Liam pushed himself faster and managed to somehow catch up to Alec, grasping his arm and pulling him to a halt. Alec turned on him and Alec took an abrupt step back, releasing his hold on Alec's arm. Alec's eyes were glowing like fire at a midnight bonfire-just like they did at Sinema. His nails had grown into sharp talons like those of the avian variety. That wasn't what scared Liam the most. Flames seemed to pour out of Alec's skin and saturate his entire being. Liam was thankful that Hayden had stayed behind so he wouldn't have to explain what was going on.

Liam shifted forward but stopped when the boy growled. His eyes kept flickering and his fingers trembled at his side alsmot as if the boy was stuck in a trance. He seemed to be emitting fear and confusion. Whatever is going on inside his head was frightening him enough to cause him to lash out but he also puzzled about his actions and the meanings behind him.
