I feel like its been a while since I wrote a Reaper76 fan fiction so here we go! Its kinda long compared to the other stories...
----
Gabriel stormed through the halls of the overwatch base. Today was not particularly going his way. First he had to attend some meeting which was nothing more than a waste of time, then he was taken off of the team for the next big mission coming up in the afternoon because of minor health concerns. He had a small cold, no more, a cold he could deal with for the mission. But nooooo. The grand Jack Fucking Morrison knew best. "Gabe, we can't have you endangering yourself" "Gabe, what if your cold gets worse?"

And to top it all off, he had to deal with some idoit crimial who won't spill the beans on the warehouse where his gang hid out. He burst through the door, even angrier than before, but stopped dead in his tracks.

Between the hallway and the room were interagactions took place was a seperate, dimly lit room with a one-way mirror showing the criminal on the other side. Gabe was expecting the criminal, but he was not expecting to see Jesse Mcree leaning on the door to the other room, blocking his path.

"Mcree, what are you doing?" Gabe asked, his patience running thin.

"Morrison sent me over." Mcree answered, standing up straight. "He wanted me to take this guy while you went an' found him."

"What? Why?" Gabe said, though his words sounded more like orders than questions.

"Don't know," he shrugged, "But he said it was important."

"Well so is this shit." Gabe said, gesturing to the one-way mirror and the criminal sitting behind it.

"I know, that's why I'm taking care of it."

"Watch your attitude, kid. Don't forget who's in charge." Gabriel snared. Mcree flinched back a bit as Gabe turned and left without another word.

He was already half way down the hall when he realized that Mcree never told him where exactly Morrison was. He paused for a moment before heading in the direction of his office.

He entered the room without knocking and found Jack sitting at his desk, typing something on his holocomputer. He looked up from his work and smiled.

"Hey, nice of you to finally show up." Jack said as he turned in his shivel chair to face Gabe. He barely batted an eye when Gabe slammed his hands on his desk.

"What the fuck do you want, Morrison." He growled. He noticed the way Jack's smile faltered a bit. Though he always called him Morrison in front of others, when they were alone Gabe usually called him by his first name.

"Gabe, I know you. You may have said you are fine but you aren't." Jack explained. "I was worried-"

"Worried about what?" Gabe said, nearly shouting. "That because I sneezed once I'm going to die? Or that if I go on the mission I'll do better than you and make you look bad?"

Jack stood, his face inches from Gabe's even with his desk in between them. "Gabe, you were too angry to be interrogating anyone. You need a level head and you just weren't thinking straight."

"So you were more worried about the other guy than me?" Gabe asked, grabbing Jack by the collar of his shirt and pulling him closer.

"Stop putting words in my mouth." Jack said as he placed his hands on Gabe's chest to push himself away from the taller man. Instead  he accidentally sent Gabe away, stumbling a bit before just barely regaining his balance.

"Shit, Gabe, I'm sorry." Jack jumped over his desk rather than going around it and tried to help Gabe, but he found himself being pushed to the ground. He hit his head on the desk, making his vision go blurry and his skull burn with pain.
