Where My Deepest Feelings Lie...

« A poem I wrote when I found out my kinda-ex-boyfriend was dating my kinda-friend.  I really don't know, because when I found out I wasn't jealous - believe me I wasn't. Its just, i thought of a word, and the rest kinda escalated from there. Bottom line - I wasn't jelly.»

  Where My Deepest Feelings Lie...

I thought my feelings had disappeared,
Disintegrated,
Decomposed in my heart's grave.

But little did I know,
That it had only made a burrow.
As it being the rabbit, trying to dig itself,
And me being the falcon
- scratching irritably at the rabbit's poorly-made hiding place.

Who knows where my deepest inhibitions may lie?
Mouse holes in the walls?
The shadows between the twigs of a bird's nest?
- Or worse,
In the open.
In front of everyone to see,
To witness.
Free material for them to humiliate me.
