I made a mistake
By thinking we were still gonna be okay.
I guess I was wrong,
Since you never ever admitted your lies
- even when I found a bra which definitely wasn't mine.
But I still stood by you
I still looked up to you
I still stuck up for you
I still thought the absolute world of you.
And there you were,
Taking it all for granted
Getting anything you wanted
Without no apologies or thank you's implanted.
It was absolutely outraging
- and yet I said nothing.
It was absolutely heartbreaking
- and yet I just sighed.
It was absolutely mind-shattering
- even though it took me quite a while to say goodbye.
