I Miss You ≈

'I miss you so much.'

That's all I can think about when I'm slouched on my couch.

I broke it off for the best,

And if I try texting you, I'll look like a desperate pest.

'But, to be honest, I don't even care.' I think, and I let my hands do the rest.

As I'm taking hold off my neglected phone,

I think of me in your hold;

Your warm embrace.

How your peppermint scented breath fans my face.

How our heart beats, beat in sync - as if it's all a race.

It's my welcomed reminder of paradise or home.

I can't stop thinking of the look on your face when we had to go our separate ways.

The look completely distorted your usually angelic features.

It made me feel like a writhing leech.

Made me feel like simply making an ear-splitting screech;

My cry of emotional pain.

I must correct this horrid mistake.

But there is nothing I can do to erase that look from my memory; it's going to stain my mental images forever.
