chapter 19

"hunter, i don't know what you're thinking about.. talk to me, please." i beg.

im scared that he's gonna leave. ive had a lot going on right now and loosing him.. i just couldn't imagine it. he's my best friend. the one i come to with everything.

"im not mad! im just.. afraid." he says

"afraid..? why?" i ask

"im afraid of two things..

one, him hurting you. i know he seems like he would never do it but it's a boy. and you've been through way to much stuff then to let him hurt you. and the second is.. loosing you. you used to come to about everything. we used to be attached to the hip. but you're saying how much he's been there for you. and i wanna be here. but you gotta tell me when you're upset, i wanna help. im gonna do everything i can to make you happy again. i know you can be, it might seem rainy now but it can't storm forever." he says with a tear streaming down his face.

"hunter is that how you really feel? that im gonna stop telling you things and he's gonna be the only guy i care about? well if you think then you're dead wrong. you've been here with me through hell and back. and im always gonna be here for you. you too carrie. you guys are my best friends. and im so grateful for what you guys have done for me. thank you guys" we all start to cry.

"group hug!" carrie says while dragging everyone and hugging for about two minutes.

"i love you guys, so much." i say "well we should go to school, i don't wanna be late" i say and we all leave.

at school

i head to my math class and i sit down. as i am looking at the bored to see the math assignments i notice this really skinny and beautiful girl. she must be new because ive never seem her before.

i stand up in line to ask my math teacher a question when these two girls come up to me.

"hey jessica, i heard you started crying because your friend cheated on you. that's pathetic." they both laugh.

"well i.." i get cut off but the girls again

"and don't even get me started on what you're wearing. it's horrendous."

"okay seriously? you don't have anything better to do with your life then to make fun of people? you think it's okay to tear someone down so much to where they could be depressed? and do you even realize how much you hurt that person? you don't know what is going on at their home, or anything. so if you're gonna call someone pathetic you should look at yourself first." the new girl says.

the girls just drop their jaw and leave.

"im so sorry that they are doing this.. im skylar but the way! im new.." she says with a smile on her face

"hello skylar, im jessica! and i can't thank you enough for that. seriously!" i decide to sit down next to her.

"no problem! don't let them get to you, they aren't worth it at all. they really are just looking for the attention." she says while rolling her eyes out them.

"amen." i say and we both laugh.

"so.. where did you move from? and why did you move here?"

"i moved from colorado, and i moved because of my boyfriend. yeah, i know that sounds stupid but his name is harry. and he is the best thing that's happened to me. we've known each other since fourth grade. and we haven't left since. he moved to seattle about six months ago and i just couldn't stand long distance anymore. so i flew out here and yeah" she smiles.

i think that's amazing, that two people love each other so much they would do anything for them. it's just incredible. and im so jealous of that.

"wow! can i just say how much i admire that. you two would do anything to be together, and it's incredible. does harry go here?" i ask

"yeah he does!!" she says

"hopefully i can meet him soon." i smile really big.

"what about you? you have anyone?" skylar asks

"well.. we aren't dating. but we really like each other and he wants to take me on a proper date. and i haven't told anyone this.. but im so nervous. yeah it may seem like not a big problem, but it is. i feel like im gonna sweat and pass out." i say quickly

"don't worry! you just have to be yourself, and hun. you are so beautiful and have a great personality! and if he really likes you, he's probably just as nervous." she says while smiling and looking ahead.
