heartbreaker

chapter 10

"oh is it the science project?" justin asks

"yeah" i answer really quickly, smiling.

sam looks at me, and then back at justin

"yeah, so can you go away?" he asks

sam's phone rings, he picks it up and gets a nervous look

"uhm can you excuse me for a second?" he says while going into another room

what was that??

"do you know who that was?" i ask justin

"it was probably lily." he says

lily? uh... who is that?? should i even be scared??

"llll.. lily?" i say holding in my tears

"yeah his ex-girlfriend" just sits down.

ex. that was a close one.

"well if she's his ex then why did she call?" i ask.

"i don't know, they are both confused about what they want" he says

"oh." is all i could come out with.

confused on what they want? what am i sam's little test?? what is this..

he comes back

"hey sorry about that!" he says while sitting down

"im gonna go upstairs, goodbye jessica." he says while smiling

"bye justin" i say while smiling back.

"sorry that I had to leave!" he says

"it's ok.. so should we just start to plan what we doing?" i say.

"yeah" we both take out our books

it's only been about 45 minutes and i want to leave. i still really like him but if he still has a thing with his ex i don't want to get in he way..

"hey guys! do you need anything?" his mom asks

"no im good!" i say nicely.

"nope were good!" he says

"okay well im in my room if you need anything!" she says while going upstairs

"so i have some questions!" i tell sam.

"and im sure i have answers!" he says

"so justin is your cousin..?" i ask

"haha uhh yeah." he says while looking down

"how?? and why is that bad??" i ask

"he's always been my cousin.. but we've never really liked each other. he does his thing, i do mine. we don't want people finding out so we pretend we don't know each other at school. i don't like him because... stuff with my dad. i don't really wanna talk about that though.." he says

"hey, i totally understand the whole father thing. don't worry! you don't have to tell me but i totally get all of it. and im here for you" i say while rubbing his shoulder and smiling.

"thanks so much" he says

"no problem" i say while smiling

{sorry that it was a really small chapter, and trust me there will be a lot more jessica and justin coming up}
