It Could Always Be Worse

"There's no need Love. Adam, already explained it." Marty replied. I furrowed my brows.

"He did? You're fine with him living here? I really didn't think it'd go over so smoothly."

Marty's eyes widened, and he cocked his head. "Wait, what? I am most certainly not okay with that. Who would be?"

Adam smirked, as he took a seat, and propped his feet up on the coffee table. "Well, I was okay with you sharing hotel rooms with my girlfriend. At least here, there would be a hallway between us. A very short hallway.."

I rolled my eyes. "Adam, please."

He pursed his lips together. "Not the first time I've heard those words from you." He mumbled.

Marty grabbed my hand, and we went to my room to talk this over.

He ran his hand through his hair. "Adam Cole of all people Y/N?" He asked. I let out a sigh.

"Marty, I have no say in this. His name is on the lease. We sort of..bought this house together."

Marty thought it over, I couldn't tell what he must've been thinking. Finally, he let out a sigh.

"I trust you Love." He smiled, as he pulled me into a tight hug.

Marty was different from Adam for a lot of reasons.

Marty, wasn't someone you'd have to worry about being around your girlfriend. Yes, I know how me and Marty got together may suggest otherwise. But, in his defense, I'm the one who asked him if he was into me.

Adam wasn't really someone to worry about either. But, that doesn't mean he wouldn't make you think he was.

My train of thought, was broken when Adam opened my door.

"I don't mean to interrupt. Not that there's anything to interrupt, but you have guests." He started, before looking around my room, and smirking.
"Wow..this place has changed a lot. Hey, is the camera still on the headboard?" He winked.

Marty dropped his arms at his side, and I rolled my eyes. "No Adam. It's not."

He scoffed, and looked Marty up and down. "Yeah, not everyone is made for the camera I guess. I still have some of our mov-"

"Adam. That's enough." I said sternly.

He threw his hands up in defense, and walked off. That smirk, still on his face.

Marty looked back at me. "You had a camera, in your headboard? Is that true..?" He questioned, as he put his hands on his hips.

I cleared my throat. "Does it matter? I have a different bed now."

He cocked his head at my reply. "That really doesn't answer my question Love."

I let out a sigh. "You don't want the answer to that question." I stated before walking out to see who was at my house.

I'd hoped to see Kenny and Page, they could hopefully keep things neutral, but instead, I walked out to see Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, and AJ Styles.

It's not that I wasn't happy to see them, they're my friends, so of course I was. However, when Adam and Kevin smirked at each other and hugged, I knew they were gonna make this whole thing as awkward as possible.

Marty smiled, and went to shake Kevin's hand.

Kevin cocked his head slightly, and smirked.

"And you are? Wait, don't tell me. I know this, it's Marty right?" He asked, Marty nodded and shook his hand.
