Chapter 25

"Laur, hurry up!" Chris called out as he moved around the house trying to find his shoes.

Today they were going to the police station, they wanted to talk to them about their father's unfortunate death.
Taylor sat in their living room, watching TV as she had her phone in her other hand, roaming around on instagram. School just finished and Lauren was exhausted but decided to go nonetheless.

"Almost done!" Lauren called back as she applied her finishing touches of minimal makeup.
Once she was finally satisfied with her look, she stood up as she took Camila's jacket and quickly wore it.
After putting on her shoes, she grabs her phone as she opens her bedroom door.
Walking down the stairs, she takes out her phone as she sends a quick text to Camila.

hey, on my way to the police station now. Wish me luck

Camzi💕🌞- omg really? Well. In that case, I will send you all my luck. Including my bananas

Lolo💞🌚- your bananas?

Camzi💕🌞- yep. They're my good luck charms, considering I love them. So it'll just double ur luck

Lauren smiles to herself as she rereads the messages.
Sighing to herself happily, she puts her phone back into her pocket as she reaches the bottom of the stairs.

"Alright, you guys ready?" She called out.
Taylor and Chris showed up and smiled as Chris nodded his head.
"Yep. Let's get going."

Lauren inhaled deeply as she walked side by side with Taylor and Chris as they approached the police station.

Walking inside, they were immediately greeted by a middle aged man as he gave them a wave.
"Ah! You must be the Jauregui's?" He said.
Chris nods his head and extended his arm out for a shake.

"Yes. I believe it was you that wanted us to be here?" He says after retracting his hand.
"Yes, I'm detective Rollins by the way. Please follow me." He says as he leads them to a room at the back.

Entering what Lauren assumed to be his office, he gestured for them to take a seat to which they did.
Walking over to the other side of his desk, he sat down on his chair as he cleared his throat.
"So.. I suppose you already know what we're going to be discussing about?" He says and they nod.
"Okay. I'm just going to get straight to the point." He says and Lauren straightens her posture as she listens tentatively.
"We don't who or what killed your father, but we know why they did it." He says.
Chris raised his eyebrows and nodded his head.
"Okay..Why?" He says.
Detective Rollins folds his arms as he purses his lips.
"Well... According to his records, he doesn't exactly have a clear file, does he?" He says as he talks about Michael.
The Jauregui's look at each other as Lauren turns back to the detective and nods her head slowly.
"Hmm.. Interesting.. According to his files, he's been arrested multiple times for illegal drug possession, theft and loads of other things as well."
