"She's in a coma."

"WHAT?"

Lauren woke up the next day, greeted by the faces of her siblings and friends. Her grandparents had also contacted her, saying they were flying down to town so they could see her. Apparently her aunty is going to be their guardian since she's still in high school and isn't capable to look after her siblings.

But that's not her concern right now. She gives Dinah a look of shock, her heart aching.

"Camila is... She's not dead, right?" She whispered, afraid for some reason.

Dinahl rolled her eyes. "I think I just told you that she's in a coma Laur. Meaning she's alive."

Lauren felt her heart clench and a small part of her was relieved. Okay.. It's okay. Her Camz is not... Gone. She's fine...

But still. She was worried sick. "Do any of you guys know when she might wake up? And what happened? Did her surgery go okay?.." A lot of questions.

Chris just gave her shoulder a small gentle squeeze. "You shouldn't worry much Lauren.. Besides. You're supposed to be resting and–"

"Chris please shut the fuck up. What happened to my girlfriend? When is she going to wake up?" She was beginning to feel angry. What were they hiding from her?

Chris and Taylor shared looks between each other.

Dinah signed heavily while Ally stood by Lauren with a sad expression.
Normani shook her head.
"We don't know Laur. The surgery was a miracle. She was bleeding a lot. Internal bleeding. They had to shock her twice for her to live. She ended up losing conscious and now we're not so sure if she's even going to wake up.." The information was alot. But Lauren caught it all.

Lauren felt like crying. She felt like punching someone.

She looked down, inhaling deeply.

Oh Camz.. She didn't deserve any of this. Lauren felt so guilty.

A doctor came in and everyone moved aside so he could do his normal check up routine.

Lauren didn't feel as bad as she had felt before. In fact, she felt good enough to leave. She wanted to get checked out as soon as possible so she could stay with Camila. The doctor understood this and soon enough Lauren found herself walking out with Chris by her side.

"Are you sure you're a hundred present okay Laur?" He asked, concerned.

Lauren waved him off. "I'm okay Chris. Abuelita said to use her credit card number to pay for the bill. I'm going to go see Camila." She made sure Chris was okay with this before she turned around, heading in the direction of Camila's room.

Dinah had told her the room number Camila was in and Lauren couldn't help the frantic beating of her heart as she neared the room.

"Mrs Cabello.." Lauren felt guilty as she met Sinu.

Sinu looked surprised to see her but smiled slightly. "Oh you're finally awake! How are you doing dear?" Sinu wrapped her up in her arms in a warm hug. Lauren could see the tears stains on the older woman's cheeks and her heart ached.

She smiled sadly. "I'm fine... Thanks for asking.."

Sinu looked back and Lauren knew what she meant. "Just so you know.. I don't blame you for anything, okay?"
