PERSONAL IMAGINE
SWIM
I lean with my back against the wall of the swimming pool of the hotel. Usually, I spend my time at the beach because I like the ocean way more than the pool but today I thought a bit of a change would be good.
On the other side of the pool a young man with curly brown hair leans against the wall of the swimming pool as well, opposite from me. I can feel his stare on my body but desperately try to crowd it out with closing my eyes.
It doesn't really work because I still feel watched, especially when the weird guy swims over and stops right in front of me. I open my eyes and see the curly haired man in front of me with a dimpled smile.
"Can I help you?" I ask.
"Not really. I just wanted to admire my view from a bit closer." The guy answers and I start laughing.
"Sucks for you that I'm gonna leave now, doesn't it?" I say, turning around to swim the opposite direction. His eyes are still staring at me, I can feel it, and to be honest it really freaking bothers me right now. Isn't it clear enough that I don't want to talk to him?
"What's your name?" I hear his voice asking me. Angrily, I turn around.
"Go away." I growl and give him a death glare which he replies with a wide smile.
"Nice to meet you, go-away. I'm Harry." The man answers, chuckling and stretches his hand out for me to shake it. I look at it as if I have never seen a hand before.
"Well, Harry, I tell you again to back off. I'm not interested in whatever you have on your mind." I tell him and walk backwards, taking longer to leave because it's difficult to move in the water.
"Hey, go-away!" He calls after me and hissing I turn around.
"What?"
"I think you're really beautiful." Harry tells me with a smug smile on his well-shaped lips. I splash him in return. He quickly closes his eyes. As he opens them again his smile only gets wider.
"You shouldn't have done this, go-away." He says and splashes me back, somehow grabbing my arm and pulling me back to him, only a few inches from his tattooed body. My hair, which I put in a bun so it won't get wet, gets wet, as well as my face.
"Stop calling me go-away and did you just splash me?" I ask bewildered and Harry nods, laughing a boyish laughter.
"And isn't that your name?"
"No, it's Isabella."
"Bella...I like this name."
"No, it's Isabella." I say, rolling my eyes as I catch myself smiling. Maybe he isn't so bad. After all he seems to have a sense for humor and he is pretty handsome with his curly brown hair and those green eyes and this cute smile.
"Will you let go off me, please?" I ask him after a while since Harry is still holding my arm.
"Will you go out with me?" Harry asks instead of answering or letting me go.
"I don't even know you."
"You see, that's why people go on dates. So they can get to know each other." Harry chuckles and I roll my eyes. I would like to go on a date with him yet I don't because I promised myself not to make any new friends or to even have a crush on someone in my holidays. I wanted it to be just me relaxing on the beach without handsome guys taking over my mind.
"I will think about it if you let go off my wrist." I say and he nods, letting go of my wrist and instead he presses me against the edge of the pool so I'm trapped between the wall and Harry's body.
"Hey!" I complain and splash him again, "This is not how you treat someone you don't know."
"We could change that." Harry says, splashing me back.
"Quit splashing me!"
"All you have to do is say 'yes'." Harry tells me laughing, splashing me the whole time. I roll my eyes, ignoring him and turn my head to the side so the water won't hit my face directly. "Just say 'yes', Isabella."
Harry starts splashing me more which causes me to shove him away, pushing against his chest. He seems to be very clumsy since he loses his balance and grips my arm to pull me with him as he falls backwards. Somehow we end up underwater and Harry gives me a grin as I swim back to the water surface.
"Harry!" I yell when he is back over water. He laughs loudly and strokes his wet hair out of his face, "Now, my hair's all wet!"
"I'm sure it's dry by 8pm when we go out."
"Yes, hopefu—Wait, I've never agreed to the date." I remember and quickly shut my mouth.
"Well, will you go on a date with me?"
I roll my eyes. It doesn't make sense anymore to say 'no'. "Okay."
"Okay what?"
"I'll go on a date with you."
"Today?"
"Yes."
"What's the lucky guy's name?" Harry grins.
"Harry."
"Now, please say that sentence in a whole."
"I'll go on a date with you today, Harry." I say laughing, shaking my head at the adorable idiot who I'm going to have around all evening. Harry nods satisfied and happy as I get out of the swimming pool, quickly grabbing my towel to cover my body a bit up. Awkwardly, I stand there around, not knowing how I should leave. I decide to give him a little smile before I turn around to walk back into the Hotel.
"I'm looking forward to it, Bella!" Harry calls after me and this time it doesn't bother me that he is calling me not by my whole name. I just walk happily into the lobby, counting the hours until he'll be waiting exactly here for me.
