Senior year was tough for pretty much everyone. Seniors are expected to balance school work, college prep, extra curricular activities, a job (or two), spend time with family and still somehow manage a social life. Add all that on top of battling with supernatural creatures and it's a surprise if Y/N manages to get an hours worth of sleep in a week; but somehow she does it all and still has time for a relationship.

It hadn't been a magical thing between the two of them; it hadn't been love at first sight, they hadn't been best friends or neighbors their whole lives. They hadn't even been enemies who became lovers. No, their love was simple; it grew with their full knowledge and neither of them chose to fight it. After Allison's death, they grieved together and comforted each other because while they had both known death neither had ever been able to reach out and touch it so closely before. They grieved together for so long that it turned into just spending time together. When Scott asked her on their first date she was more excited than she could even describe, but that seemed like ages ago now.

Now she stood at her locker, pulling out textbooks to study for the weekend and stuffing them into her bag. Scott walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close like he did everyday.

"What are you doing with all those books?" He whispered in her ear before kissing her cheek.

"Well I don't know about you but I planned on studying this weekend. As you know, my parents are out of town and the house will be quiet for the first time in months so I might actually be able to concentrate."

"Oh is that so," Scott spun her around to face him. "Did you forget what today is?"

"No, of course not. Today is Friday."

"Yes but there is something important about this particular Friday."

"What could possibly be important about Friday the 20th of May?" She tried to act confused but her face soon gave way to a smile. "Except for the fact that it marks the one year anniversary of our first date. How could you think I forgot."

"I was just worried is all. I spent a lot of time and effort into making our anniversary the best date we have ever been on and I didn't want you to forget." Together the two of them walked out of the school and to their respective vehicles. "I'm picking you up at 6 tonight and Mom said I can have the car."

"Sounds perfect but I need to get going if I want to be ready by 6, I'll see you tonight." The two kissed and were off in separate directions.

At home she took her time getting ready, showering, dressing, doing her makeup and hair and by the time she was done it was nearly 6, so she went on the porch to wait for Scott. 6 o'clock came, then 6:10 then 6:20 and finally, at 6:35 Scott pulled into her driveway on his bike. He pulled off his helmet and ran up onto the porch.

"I'm so sorry I'm late. I couldn't get the car started and finally I gave up and decided to just bring the bike even though I really didn't want to. But all that aside, you look as beautiful as ever."

"Well thank you Scott," She smiled and kissed his cheek. "And if you don't want to take the bike we can take my car."

"Sounds perfect, I'll drive, if we hurry we can still make it to our reservation on time." Scott grabbed her hand and they walked to the car.

"Oh, reservations? Where are we going?"

"The restaurant your parents went to when your dad proposed."

"Oh how romantic." She laughed and slid into the passenger's seat of the car. "What else do you have planned for tonight?"

Scott pulled out two tickets from his jacket pocket. "They are performing one of your favorite plays this weekend so I got us tickets."
