His Wings - Castiel x Reader

"So Cas, doesn't it feel better to be all fluffy again?" Dean asked through a mouth full of pie and of course both you and Sam looked at him with a funny face, which of course he ignored.

You had just come back to the bunker exhaustion plaguing all of you - well except for your boyfriend, Castiel, who had recently gotten his grace back and seemed to be fresh all the time. Not getting tired or hungry, no human needs anymore, and always full of energy to help you and the guys. But above all happy that he got his grace back. And you couldn't help but be happy for him too. You loved him anyway. Angel or not. And you were always there during his struggles with humanity. You were with him even before he became human and seeing him so helpless sometimes broke your heart, mostly because you knew that he wanted so much to help you and yet he couldn't. Seeing him sad made you sad too so now that he had his grace back and was completely himself you were absolutely happy.

"Uuuh fluffy?" Sam looked at his brother with a funny face.

You raised an eyebrow and looked at Dean with an expecting look on your face, really wanting to hear his answer.

"Yeah, fluffy" he said as if it was the most simple thing on the world "Cause, you know, he just got his grace back and he has his wings back again. And wings have feathers and feathers are soft and fluffy and- uh- you know what? Never mind, you people would never get it anyway" he said with a roll of his eyes and took another big bite of his pie.

"Well, it certainly feels good to be... fluffy again, Dean. Thank you." Castiel said with a small smile and you had a hard time not laughing.

"Well Castiel may be feeling fluffy-" you giggled "-But I certainly know I am tired so if you wouldn't mind, guys, I think I'm going to crash. - And by that I mean sleep, baby" you added immediately as soon as you saw Castiel's frowning and concerned face.

"Oh" he only said with a small nod.

You got up from your chair and he followed suit "I'm coming with you" he smiled and nodding you both said 'goodnight' to Sam and Dean, making your way to your old room.

"Fluffy?!" Sam asked in disbelief his brother, hardly stifling his laughter.

"Shut up!"

You giggled as you and Cas entered your room, his arm around your waist.

"Fluffy? How does he even come up with these things?!" you laughed and Castiel chuckled.

"Well, I guess he does have a point there." he said with a small shrug and you rolled your eyes with a smile.

"Of course you would" you kissed his cheek and proceeded to start taking off your clothes and changed into your pajamas.

You placed your clothes on a chair and turned to get on your bed, immediately stopping and raising an eyebrow.

"You're going to be sleeping?" you asked with a smile, as you saw Castiel having changed into a pair of sweatpants and simple white shirt.

"Yeah" he said with a small shrug and smile "Why?" he asked.

"Nothing it's just-" you shrugged "-I mean you don't need to, right? You've got your grace back, you're an angel and all that. You don't need to sleep."

"Maybe" he said with a small shrug making his way closer to you, leaving almost no space between you as he wrapped you in his arms, your hands resting on his chest "But I just enjoy it very much" he said hugging you even more tightly.

"Sleeping?" you asked with a smirk and a raise of your eyebrow.

"With you in my arms" he added with a smirk and you rolled your eyes with a giggle, already feeling a blush rise in your cheeks.
