CastielxReader Drinking Problems

You stood by the kitchen sink, scrubbing dishes in the warm, soapy water in the sink. You yawn and look up at the clock, sighing wearily when you realize it's almost midnight. Looking back down at the stack of unclean dishes, you decide sleep can wait a little longer.

You were about to grab another plate when a pair of arms wrapped around your waist, making you yelp in surprise. Turning your head, you realized with relief that it was just Cas. "Cas, I'm busy." You told him. "I know." he said, resting his chin on your shoulder. You noticed with concern that his breath was laced with the faint scent of alcohol.

"Cas, have you been drinking again?" you ask him. He doesn't reply, just nuzzles your neck affectionately. You don't even know why you asked. It was fairly obvious that he had.

You turned around so you were facing him, then reached up and gently stroked the side of his face. "Come on, let's get you to bed." You said, removing his hands from your waist and pulling him gently to his room.

By the time you got his trench coat and suit off, leaving nothing but a plain grey t-shirt and a pair of boxers, you tucked him under the covers and kissed him lightly on the forehead. As you turned to leave, Cas grabbed your wrist. "Stay?" he asked, stifling a yawn. "Of course." You said with a smile, crawling into bed beside him.

He draped an arm over your shoulders and pulled you close to him protectively. You smiled and closed your eyes, drifting off to sleep.

"Goodnight ____." Cas whispered, falling asleep after you.
