I woke up with the sun slightly showing through the window. I groaned as I reached my hand to touch the other side of the bed. I shot up the bed as I noticed that Josh wasn't there. Then, I smelled-
" Is that bacon?" I wondered. I got out of bed and grabbed my yellow robe and headed downstairs. I walked downstairs and the aroma grew stronger each step I took. When I entered the kitchen, I see Josh in his Superman robe, cooking bacon.
" Morning," I said sitting in the barstool.
" Morning babe," Josh said as he gave me a peck on the lips. I smiled.
" I'm gonna be making eggs soon, so how do you want them?" Josh asked not taking his eyes of the sizzling bacon.
" Scrambled."
" Scrambled?"
" Yeah, is there a problem with that?"
" No, it's just that it's... boring."
" Boring? It's just eggs. Now can you continue cooking please?"
Josh put his hands up in surrender. " Fine by me." I rolled my eyes and then last night popped in my head.
" Hey, I wanna talk about last night..with Katherine coming over unexpected and all." Josh froze and stood there in silence.
" Um... can we talk after we eat?" Josh pleaded innocently.
I got up and walked up to him grabbing his wrist. " Breakfast can wait." I lead him to the living room and pushed him on the couch.
" Um... wanna watch The Fault in Our Stars again?" Josh asked trying to change the subject.
" Don't even try it, Josh. You know what we have to talk about. What the hell was Katherine doing here yesterday?" I asked seriously.
" I don't know."
" When you went to talk to her, what did you guys talk about?"
" We was just catching up, that's all," Josh said with a nervous laugh.
" Don't bullshit me, Josh. Please, just tell me."
Josh sighed. " Alright. Katherine was apologizing about cheating on me with Andrew and how she thinks you won't lasts long."
I raised my eyebrows. " Also," Josh continued, " she said that I should break up with you and try to work it out with her and how she claims that I " haven't gotten over her" and that I need a "woman" like her. I said that when I broke up with her that's when I got over her. Then she started unbuttoning her blouse and I stopped her. As I was telling her that I was I love with you and started to leave the room, she said that you wasn't good enough for me. Then, when I was showing her to the door, I found out that she's dating my brother," Josh finished. I huffed out air in shock.
" Leah?" I looked at Josh.
" Are you mad at me?"
I chuckled. " No, I'm not mad at you." Josh sighed in relief.
" I'm just mad at that bitch Thoterine!" Josh gave me a chuckled them a weird look.
" Um babe, I think you mean Katherine," he said correcting me.
" No. Her new name to me is Thoterine. 'Cause she a straight up thot!" Josh laughed.
" Let's eat our breakfast now," Josh chuckled as he grabbed my hand and lead me to the kitchen.
