Kenny dropped me off at my new apartment that I bought before I left for Florida. I got out the car, Kenny grabbing my suitcase in the process. I got out my keys and walked inside the apartment.
"Home sweet home," I sighed in relief.
"Glad you're back," Kenny smiled. I smiled back and have him a hug.
"It's good to be back. Just wish everybody else was here," I said looking around.
"Well," Kenny started. I gave him a weird look and turned around to see all my friends come out.
"Guys! What are you doing here?" I asked shocked.
"Kenny told us you were coming back after what happened with you and Adande, so we wanted to surprise you," Karyne smiled. I chuckled and gave everybody hugs.

"So, he had an obsession with video games?" Leayah asked.
"Yep."
"Like to what extreme was it?" Sterling questioned.
"I can't even describe it," I answered.
"Wow, so what are you gonna do now?" Valeria asked curiously.
"I don't even know. I mean my first boyfriend is gay, and my second has an addiction to gaming so I might just take it down for a while. Go back and work at the hospital," I stated.
"That's good," Laura smiled.
"Yeah, it'll be good for me. Just to set love aside for a while. I really wanna find a guy whose real to me and himself. I just don't know when that'll happen," I said.

"It's great to have you back Ms.Rivers. Not having you and your amazing skills was very hard for us," explained the doctor.
"Well, that's what I'm here for. To get back to work," I said gladly.
"That's what I like to hear," the doctor said.
Through out the whole day, tons of people came in either injured, sick, or even worse. One man came in with a bullet wound to the left side of his chest.
"I'm not gonna make it, aren't I?" the man asked, blood dripping out his mouth.
"You're gonna make it, sir. I pray on it," I reassured him.
"Take him in a room. STAT!" I yelled. The doctors nodded as they rushed him into a room while I followed.
"You're gonna be okay, sir. Just wait."
After 4 hours, I went to go check on the man. I open the curtain and saw him sleep, his chest bandaged up. I smiled as I quietly closed the door.
"Hey." I turned around to see the man wide awake.
"Thank you. You saved my life," he said softly.
"Just doing my job,sir."

"Goodnight, Ms.Rivers," the doctor said.
"Goodnight," I answered back. I walked through the dark and empty parking lot. A security guard is supposed to walk with me but I wanted to be alone for a while. I was very self conscious of my surroundings and I always carried pepper spray with me just in case. As I get closer to my car, I hear footsteps behind me. I wanted to look back, but I was too scared. The closer I got to my car, the louder the footsteps got.
Now I was getting pissed instead of scared. I slowly pulled out my pepper spray and turned around with my eyes closed, about to spray whoever was behind me.
"Hey, hey, hey! Just wait would ya?" male voice said. The voice was very sweet but scared cuz I was holding up my pepper spray.
"Why should I not spray you?" I asked angrily, my eyes still closed.
"Because, I'm not doing anything to you," he chuckled.
"You were following me," I countered.
"I was simply walking to my car which is right next to yours," he answered back. I turned around, opening one eye to see a red Ferrari next to my black Mercedes Benz.
"Still, you could of been a killer or rapist of some sort, making me your next target," I turned around with my eyes closed again.
The guy took his hands away from my eyes, causing me to open them.
"Do I look like any of those things?" The guy asked. I opened my eyes to see a really attractive guy. He had dark brown eyes like me and was smiling.
"I guess not," I gave in.
"So, you're a doctor?" he asked.
"Registered nurse," I corrected him. He nodded.
"The male doctors that come here must check you out a lot, huh?" he asked smiling.
"I wouldn't even know," I answered.
"Well if I worked here, I'd check you out all day," he smirked. I felt my cheeks get hot and red.
"Are you trying to flirt with me?" I asked smiling.
"Oh, I'm not trying. I am flirting with you," he smirked. I blushed even harder as I opened my car door and got inside.
"I never got your name," the guy said.
"It's Leah," I said.
"Dana," he said.
"I've never seen you here before. Are you an intern or something?" I asked.
"Nah, I was just visiting my dad. He got shot in the chest from a drive-by," he answered.
"Hey, I helped take that bullet out. He thought he wasn't gonna make it, but I reassured him," I said.
"I guess he was helped by an angel then," Dana smiled. My cheeks were visibly red now. I turned on the engine, about to drive off.
"Wait, can I at least get your number? I mean, you did try to blind me with pepper spray," he asked.
I chuckled. " Sure." I gave him my number and he gave me his.
"So, I'll see you tomorrow around 12pm," he said.
"Why that time?"
"You'll see."
