As me and Josh watched TV in the bedroom, the moon started to rise. We was so bored we didn't know what to do so we started talking about random topics.
" Yeah, but my mom's real cool," Josh finished. I smiled and nodded.
" My mom's cool too," I said.
" I wish I could meet her," said Josh. Then, a lightbulb lit in my head.
" That's it!"
" What's it?"
" Tomorrow, we could invite both of our parents to dinner!" Josh had a worried look on his face.
" I don't know, babe. When my mom met Katherine, she instantly didn't like her."
I rolled my eyes. " Well, I'm not Katherine. I'm Leah, your girlfriend. Amd I have a much better personality than her," I assured him. He put on a crooked smile on his face.
" Ok. We could try." I smiled and gave him a peck on the cheek and we continued watching TV.

It was the next day, about 5:30. Both of our parents were gonna be here at 7:00. As I headed in the kitchen getting ready to cook, Josh comes downstairs and tackles me from behind causing us to fall.
" Ugh! Really Josh?" I asked annoyed.
" What? I'm just having fun," Josh simply stated, on my back.
" Well could you get your pounds of muscle off of me? I have to start cooking," I groaned as Josh got off me. I rolled my eyes playfully at him and entered the kitchen and started cooking.
After a hour passed, I finally finished cooking. I made dirty rice, popcorn shrimp, mashed potatoes with gravy, fried chicken, asparagus and bought some red wine. I wrapped up the food and headed upstairs to get dressed. I decided to wear my silky shoulder strapped black dress that came up to my thighs. I put on my red bottoms and curled my hair, put on some makeup and went downstairs to see Josh wearing a tuxedo. I smiled at him as he smiled back at me.
DING DONG!!
We both looked at each other as we heard the doorbell ring.
" I'll get it. You could go in the kitchen, unwrap the food and put it on plates," I said heading for the door. I took a deep breath and answered the door.
" Mommy!" I screamed as we shared a hug.
" Hi, baby. How's my Lele doing?" my mom asked.
" She's doing fine." My mom walked in the house.
" Leah!" I turned around and saw my dad.
" Daddy!" I gave him a hug and he walked in the house. Then Josh's mom came up.
" Hello, Mrs. Leyva. I'm Leah, Josh's girlfriend. It's a pleasure to finally meet you," I said politely as I shook her hand. She had a shock expression on her face.
" Hi, Leah. I didn't know that Josh had a new girlfriend. And by the way, I love that dress on you," Mrs. Leyva complimented.
I smiled. " Thank you." She smiled and walked in the house. Mr. Leyva walked in the house.
" Hello there. You must be Leah. It's an honor to meet you. Josh has told me about you over the phone," Mr. Leyva said. I smiled and I closed the door. We all walked in the kitchen to see the table looking fancy and the plates full of food.
" Josh!" Both of Josh's parents said in unison while hugging him. I smiled as I watched their family hug.
" Well, let's eat!"
