Chapter 38

"What's going on?" I ask as Harry hangs up the phone and grabs a shirt and jeans from his closet.

"I don't know, all he said was that there's an emergency." He pulls his shirt over his head and walks to the bathroom to continue dressing.

I guess I could make myself decent while he's getting ready. I'm still in last night's attire and this dress is clinging so tightly to my skin that I'm about to explode! The image in the mirror terrifies me; my hair in every direction and makeup smeared around my eyes.

I start by removing the black eye liner and eye shadow and brush all the knots that have formed from my slumber. Next, I change out of my dress and in to my pink and black plaid pajama pants with one of my oversized black shirts. We're only going to Liam's house so there's no need in getting all fancied up.

Harry meets me downstairs by the door and we make our journey to Liam's. It's not even twenty minutes away so it's a very short drive consisting of silence. Once we arrive, all of the boys' cars are parked behind eachother. Including Niall's.

Harry doesn't get a chance to open the door before Liam is standing in the doorway.

"Come in, my parents are gone so do all the shouting you want." Liam blantly answers. Why would Harry have to yell? Hopefully nothing major has happened but knowing my life, it will be.

"Okay, what the fuck is going on, Liam!" I guess that's what Liam meant by him shouting.

Liam leads us in to his very modern living room, flat screen tv and all, and our sights are set on Louis, Zayn, and Niall seated on the couch. They all seem frightened and don't even aknowledge Harry and I's presence.

"Apparently, Cally's father came to the party. I wasn't there so I don't know anything and you guys left early. They won't even speak about it, they're so spooked and I don't know why." Liam responds.

"M-My father?" I ask in disbelief. My father is in town, in this very town looking for me. My prisoner, alcoholic, father who is hunting me down and possibly my mother too? I want to break down and cry right now but the thought of my father stops me and anger comes in.

I rush to where the other boys are and immediately start yelling.

"What happened and why the fuck is he here?!" Niall, Louis, and Zayn are all taken back at my tone of voice but I can't handle it. I want answers and I want them now.

"Chill, Cally." Harry grabs my arms and pulls me backwards. I yank them back to my sides and turn towards him.

"Don't tell me what to do, I'm not your girlfriend!"

Did she seriously have to play that card? Just because we kissed last night doesn't mean that I have any protective instincts on her related to dating!

Although I did enjoy the kiss and being with her, I can't tell any of the boys about it. Especially Niall. His heart would break in to a million pieces if he found out about last night's mishaps and the previous ones.

Cally stormed out of the house and slammed the door shut. Everyone's eyes were instantly on me.

"What was that all about, Harold?" Niall stands from the couch. Niall only refers me as 'Harold' when he's mad at me and right now, he definitely is. But I'm not scared at all. He's just a puny little Irish boy that doesn't know what he's messing with.

"Why do you suspect this is because of me! She's just shocked that her fucking father is here and not in his prison cell!" I yell and step closer to him. The tension in the room has definitely raised and Niall's cheeks are flared with redness from it.

"Good thing my parents are gone." Liam scoffs and goes in to the kitchen.

"You don't know anything about Cally, nor about her life!" He winces at my insult but recovers.

"I was her freaking boyfriend, Harry! For Christ's sake, what has gotten in to you lately? You used to never be like this! This was all about picking on Cally but now it's like, I don't know. You've changed, Harold. You've changed." He turns and goes in to the hallway in the direction of Liam's bedroom.

He's telling me that I've changed? He's the one who has changed, let me tell you! He never used to have any feelings for Cally until I did. He used to stand on the sidelines and not interfere with my business. And, he used to not have any feelings, what so ever, for Cally.
