Chapter 27

Harry parked the car behind Tori's and cut the engine. He shook his head and rested his hands on his lap.

"I told you." He opened his door and stepped out, leaving me to go to the front door alone.

Once we both stood at the door, I barged in causing the door to slam against the wall beside it. Niall stood from his couch after he shoved Tori off of his lap. I gasped at the sight.

"What the hell is going on?" I screamed and Tori stood up.

"We're dating now! Isn't this excit-" Niall's hand covered Tori's mouth before she could finish.

"She's just here visiting." His eyes had lost the glow that was always there when he saw me and I couldn't feel any more sad. We had a fight last night after he tried having sex with me but that doesn't give him a reason to cheat on me!

"You told me you loved me." I whispered. Tears started to gather in the corners of my eyes but I'm not letting them fall. I don't want him or anyone know that he's defeated me.

His hand left her mouth and he rushed over to me. He held my shoulders but I shook his hands off me and back away closer to Harry.

"Baby, this isn't what it looks like!"

"Wait, I thought you were with Harry?" Tori steps in.

"We were pretending! Me and Niall were dating the whole time. Were." I say more towards Niall. I rip the necklace he gave me off my neck and threw it at his chest. It falls to the ground with a clinging noise and he looks down at it. The diamonds have fallen out and the clasp on the chain has broken, just like me.

"Here's your stupid necklace. Give it to Tori for all I care!" I stormed out of the room ignoring Niall and Tori's pleas for me to come back. Harry followed and I opened the passenger door.

Harry starts driving and I look out the window. This has got to be the worst two days in my life. First, I have to live with Harry while my lunatic of a father is out there! And second, Niall is-was cheating me. With my own friend! She was my one and only friend.

I wonder what my mother's doing out there. I don't even know where she is! I'm afraid to call her because I know there's a possibility that she won't answer and I'd cry even more. But, I'm holding it all in. I don't want to be in public crying. I want to be in my own privacy, in my own temporary room.

"I'm surprised that you aren't crying about this. You seem like the type of girl who would be all 'oh my gosh! My boyfriend just cheated on me, uhh!'" Harry mocked.

"I'm not that way at all." I straighten my posture and stick my chin in the air to seem strong. But I'm not strong at all. I just broke up with the only love and boyfriend I've had in my life.

'I know what Niall's doing to you. He does this with every girl he dates.' Harry's voice comes in to my head.

He was right. Out of all people, he was right! My mom even thought he was a nice boy. I knew I should've seen this coming and I'm just now figuring it out. He's a player. I remember the day that we were assigned that stupid project in History, Harry and Niall were flirting with thos girls. He probably already had a girlfriend then too.

"I'm sorry." I admit to Harry. He looks away from the road and I meet his gaze. His eyes are narrowed at me as if I had just done something wrong.

"For what?" He looks back at the road.

"For not believing you last night, even though I didn't really come out and say it but I didn't. So, I apoligize." I say politely.

Some how my tears have disappeared like they evaporated in thin air and my mood has lightened. I smile at the thought of me beginning to forget Niall but I know that I won't feel as good the next day.
