"I just asked a fucking question!" He raised his voice, kicking the nightstand.
"Chris!" I said louder.
I heard him stomping up the stairs, while Eddie showed no sign of leaving.
Chris appeared in the doorway and his face dropped.
"Eddie you have to go," Chris said.
"No, Chris, take El." I told him.
He gave me a weary look, but took Eleanor anyway.
Once they had left, I turned back to Eddie, who seemed to be patiently waiting to scream at me again.
"What's wrong? Think I'm gonna lash out?" Eddie asked, throwing his hands around wildly. He was such a damn idiot in this state.

I shook my head. Just like old times.
"I just asked a question, all you had to say was 'my name is' and it'd be fine,"
I cocked my eyebrow, he wasn't finished. He never was.
"But instead, you're gonna be a bitch." He said lowly.
I let out a deep breath and pushed him back harshly.
"Look asshole, I know you're drunk, but you don't have any right to come into my room and yell at me in front of our daughter." I said, removing my fists from the fabric of his shirt with a final shove.

He was silent, breathing hard.
"Victoria." He breathed out.
I bit my lip in response to the lump in my throat.
I heard Chris, and 2 other pairs of feet coming up.
"Did you say our daughter?" He asked quietly.
Please god let me disappear.
"Vicky." He said sternly.
"Yeah. Yes." I said looking down.
"What's her name?" He asked gently. This whole thing seemed to sober him right up.

"El. Eleanor."
"Eleanor is my daughter? I'm a dad? I'm her dad?" He asked. I felt bad. His eyes were misty. I should've stayed. I should've told him.

"Daddy!"
Shocked eyes turned to see Eleanor running full speed at Eddie, who quickly opened his arms to which she happily jumped into.
I looked at Chris and Susan who were in the doorway looking as if they'd seen a ghost.

Eddie was now crying, holding his daughter for the first time.
I tentatively stepped forward, carefully wrapping my arms around both of them, doing my best not to cry as well.
It took a few seconds, but eventually Eddie put his arm around me.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Eddie asked, setting El down.
"I was scared." I answered honestly.
He nodded.
"Were gonna have to talk about this. Figure it out. You know?" He said.
"Yeah...you know El only called Kurt dad until now." I said.
He smiled at that, looking at the little girl who had climbed back up on the bed.
I sat down beside Eleanor, trying to get a grasp at what went down.
"I'm sorry for being a tool." He muttered, clearly watching his language for the sake of Eleanor.
"Its fine," I shrugged.
"I'm gonna go, uh, I'll come back tomorrow if that's alright with you." He mumbled.

I debated on whether I should ask him to stay. It was just too soon. We'd just seen each other for the first time in years. We had to rebuild everything now.

"Yeah okay, I'll walk you out." I nodded.
"El I'll be right back." I told her.

Eddie and I walked downstairs. Susan, Chris and Lily must've been in their room.
"I'll come back tomorrow okay?" Eddie said.
"Alright. See you then. Drive safe," I told him.
"Bye Vick."
