I can't believe she's dead. I can't believe she's finally gone. I let a tear slip down my cheek before a silent laughter fill the empty room. It grows louder and louder until I fall to the floor, gasping for breath.
"She's finally dead!" I exclaim, rocking on my knees. "She's dead she's dead she's dead!" I suddenly hear a click outside the door and bury my face in my hands a moment before the door swings open.
"Yui?" I look up to see Yuki standing in the doorway, a concerned look on his face. He walks over to me and wraps me in a hug. I return it and stare over his shoulder. There is a girl in the doorway, a blank stare on her face. Her brown hair is tied into braids, and her turquoise eyes are staring into mine. I stand up when Yuki let's go, and break my gaze with the girl.
"Are you okay?" Yuki asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine Yuki," I say reassuringly. "It's just going to be difficult to get over her death,"
"Okay, but if you need me I'm here." he says, hugging me again.
"Thanks Yuki." I smile as he hugs me. He's always been so kind, I think, like my big brother.
He smiles at me one last time before he walks out. The girl remains in the doorway.
"You saw me, didn't you? That night in your house," she says quietly, shutting the door.
I smile at her and step closer. "Yes." I feel a sharp pain on my stomach and look down to see a knife buried in my stomach. I smile as blood spreads on my uniform, it reminds me of a flower in bloom.
"I'm sorry about this," she says, twisting the knife. "But I can't let you live now that saw me."
I smile and wrap my arms around her, hugging her, pushing the knife deeper in my stomach. She gasps in surprise.
"Thank you," I say, letting a tear slip down my cheek.
"For what?"
"For getting rid of her."
The girl nods, finally understanding. I feel my consciousness start to fade, and I rest my head on her shoulder.
"Before I die, I want to know your name." I whisper.
"It's Yuni," she smiles. "Yuni Sadou."
"Thank you for saving me," are the last words that slips from my mouth before my vision goes black. The blood loss has made me weak, and I slump against her, my knees buckling. She digs the knife deeper, but I don't feel pain. All I feel is joy. Joy that the person who put me through so much pain over the years is dead. Gone from the world. Burning in hell. Joy that Kirei, my big sister, can't hurt me anymore. Thank you Yuni Sadou. You are my hero.
Yuni's POV
When I pull the knife out I let her fall to the floor, a slight smile still visible on her pale face. I sigh as I clean the knife on towel. This girl was tortured. By her own sister. I smile.
"I know what that feels like," I whisper. "You're just like me," I take my decoy knife and place it in her limp hand. I'll make it look like suicide.
"It's too bad I had to kill you, we would've been good friends," I say, grabbing the door handle. "We have a lot in common." I shut the door and walk into the empty halls.
