Snow Day (Yuki's Past)
"Mommy!" I shout from the doorway, my teeth chattering. "Please come inside! It's too cold out here!"
She laughs with the sweet airy voice of an angel, and shakes her head. "Come on darling, it's not that bad,"
"Yeah Yuki! Come on and stop being a baby!" Kirei shouts, sticking her tongue out at me. She grabs a handful of snow and chucks it in my direction, while my mother laughs and continues to build a snowman.
It hits the ground next to my snow boots and I stick my tongue out in return. "Stupid snow. I just want to go inside!" Today was the first snowfall of winter, and the air was chilly, the streets filled with sticky white snow. My mother thought that since Kirei and Yui were already over for a sleepover, and I had coats that fit them both, we should play in the snow. I hated the idea, but Kirei's whining was extremely persuasive with my mother, and she made me put on boots and mittens against my will.
"Please oneechan?" I hear a small voice squeak. I look and see Yui with a smile on her pink face. Her small frame is shaking, but she motions for me to come over and I do, something about her grin makes me unable to say no. "Thank you Yuki-kun!" she smiles again.
I roll my eyes and grab a handful of cold snow. "You asked for it Yui-chan!" I say, swinging the snowball in her direction. She easily dodges me and it hits Kirei, instead.
"Hey! You're so gonna get it Yuki!" she screams, tackling me down to the ground.
"Ow! Get off Kirei-chan!" I shout. "You're heavy!" Suddenly our scramble stops, and tears fill Kirei's eyes.
"You're so mean Yuki!" she cries, running inside.
"Oh, you've done it now onee chan," Yui says.
"What? What did I do?" I say, completely confused.
"You're never supposed to talk about a lady's weight Yuki." mother says.
"It's not like I called her fat or anything! Kirei's just being a crybaby!" I huff, stomping my foot.
"Now Yuki, you better go apologize to Kirei, that was quite rude of you young man," she lectures, pointing to the door.
I sigh angrily and stomp inside, slamming the door shut. "It was her stupid fault! She was in the way!" I huff, walking to the kitchen. I grab a hot cocoa packet from the cupboard and hand it to Maki. "Please make this for me Maki," I sigh, sitting down on the dining table.
"Yes sir," she nods. A few minutes later she hands me a blue porcelain cup full of steaming cocoa. "She's in your room." she says.
"Thanks Maki," I reply, hopping up the stairs. I swing my door open and see Kirei sitting in a small wooden chair my father built into the corner. She stays silent and stares at the wall. I sit beside her and hand her the cocoa, which she takes halfheartedly. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult you, You're actually really light." I pause and sigh to myself. "And pretty too."
Her face blushes. "Really?"
"Mhm."
She stands up and smiles, wrapping her arms around me. "I love you Yuki,"
I smile. "Does that mean you forgive me?"
"Yep!" she laughs. "Now let's go make more cocoa! It's freezing!"
TIME SKIP
A few hours later it's time for bed, and we all change from our coats into fluffy pajamas, climbing under the blankets of my bed. Yui is fast asleep in minutes, but Kirei cuddles me and refuses to let go. "You're so warm Yuki! Just until I fall asleep, please!" she whines as I try to shove her off.
"Oh, fine!" I sigh in defeat. She hugs my chest, and I fall asleep with her arms around me, head buried in my chest.
A/N: Yuki was five in this chapter, Yui four, Maki eight, and Kirei five as well. (Just for your info) ;)
A/n: Hey guys! I'm sorry for being such a lazy ass but I'm on break and I'm sick so... Yeah! This isn't part of the story by the way I was just too lazy to write actual content.... So please forgive me, I am writing a new chapter as we speak, I've just been really lazy to be honest. Sorry for the CLIFFHANGER last chapter but I'm just a bitch like that so deal ;) Anyways hope you guys enjoyed this little tidbit of Yuki's past!
