Yuki's POV
When we arrive at school, we walk to class hand in hand, ignoring the whispering coming from students. My face is flushed but I ignore it and hold her hand gently. She smiles at me and lets go, sitting down in her seat.
"Hey! Nishiki!" someone calls when I sit down at my own desk. I turn and make eye contact with a boy I've never spoken to, but I've seen hang around Kirei before. Thinking of her makes my heart pang with grief, but I reply nonetheless.
"Yeah?"
"Did you hear Rin's dead?" he says. The room goes quiet, except for the sob of a single girl. Rin's girlfriend.
"You idiot! Shut the fuck up!!" another girl shouts.
"Sorry," the boy laughs. "Just thought Nishiki'd wanna know, since Rin was an asshole to him all the time. He kinda had it coming,"
This is when when Rin's girlfriend, Sakura, stands up and slams her fists on her desk. "Shut up!!" she screams, tears streaming down her face. "Rin was a good person! He didn't deserve to die!!"
She runs out of the classroom after slapping the boy in the face, followed by a group of girls. Suddenly the attention turns to me. "Are you happy he's dead Nishiki?" a girl whispers.
Yuni's POV
When the girl finishes speaking, Yuki turns to her, a blank expression on his face.
"No." he says flatly. He stands up and storms out of the classroom.
"Wait! Yuki!" I shout. I follow him out the door into the yard, watching him sit at the base of a cherry tree.
"Yuni," he says, his head down as I walk over.
"Yes?" I say, sitting beside him.
Suddenly he looks up at me as tears stream down his face. "I'm sorry Yuni,"
My heart drops in a panic. "For what Yuki," I say, wrapping him in a hug.
"For being happy right now,"
I push him back and look at his face again, realizing there is a smile present. "What?"
"Rin's dead, and it's horrible, but," he pauses. "All I can think about is how much he deserved it," he laughs quietly. "I'm sick." he chokes.
I pull him back into a hug, my heart pounding as fast as ever, a smile across my face. Yuki is happy that I killed for him. He is happy because of something I did! I made him happy. My face grows hot and a grip his jacket. I mumble something under my breath, that only I can hear. "I'll kill for you always, Yuki. If it makes you happy, I will do it."
I smile at the that fact, as well as another. The thought that Yuki is just as crazy as me, makes me love him even more.
A/N: Kind of a shitty chapter but I didn't have much time to write this week so sorry -.- finally done with school though so HALLELUJAH :)))
