Emi's POV
"So, you're a moon neko?" I ask her, my head throbbing.
The white haired girl looks at me like I'm an idiot and nods her head. "Have you seen the ears? Geez. Baka!" she says. "Though, I guess you can't think straight with half your blood gone,"
"Hm. You think?" I say meekly.
"You know, if you weren't sis's prey, we might be friends," she laughs.
"I assume that means you won't let me go, huh?"
"Nope, 'fraid not Emi- chan," she shrugs.
"Can you at least answer a few things for me?"
"Sure," she says.
"Was it just my imagination, or did Yuni not just crack your skull open?" I question.
"Oh, she did. But, I have to forgive big sis. She had a good reason for being so angry," she explains.
"That's not the part I'm losing brain cells over," I say. "How are you still alive? You lost so much blood it's not possible you could've lived, even if your head hadn't been split open."
"Oh, you didn't know? I thought Minami-san would've told you. Moon nekos can't be killed,"
My eyes widen. "Are you serious?"
"Well, we can be killed by celestial blades and such, but that's about it. And humans don't have those here, so truthfully the only ones who can kill us are each other."
"Well isn't that just fantastic," I say, my voice laced with sarcasm.
"Of course, that's not the case for Yuni."
"What's different about her?" I ask.
"Yuni's kind of... invincible."
Yuni's POV
When the limo drops us off at the restaurant, I grab Yuki's hand and smile. It's confusing to me how happy he can make me, I've never been so happy in my entire life, except when I'm with Yuki. My one and only beloved. He is mine. And only mine. I'll have to make sure to teach Maki that lesson.
"Yuni?" Yuki says, shaking me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah?"
"We kind of have to walk now," he laughs. I realize I'm holding him in place, my hand gripping his tightly.
I loosen my grip and nod. "Sorry master," I really need to learn to control my anger sometimes...
"Welcome," the hostess says when we walk into the restaurant. She guides us to a table and hands us each a menu. "Forgive me if this sounds weird," she smiles. "But you are an adorable couple,"
"Thank you," I grin, my happy mood returning. Yuki's face is a slight shade of pink, and he hides behind his menu.
"Thank you miss,"
"Illya," she states, holding her hand out to me. I shake it politely and she gives a warm smile. "Nice go meet you Yuni,"
"Same to you," I reply. When she steps away Yuki continues to look over the menu, but my fist clenches under the table. How did she know my name?
"Yuni, you okay?"
I let out a breath and relax my hand. I can't ruin this. I just can't. "Yeah, of course!" I smile.
"Okay..." he says reluctantly. "So, what were you thinking of getting?"
"Hm, strawberry pancakes, love," I grin. Sure, it's fake, but I'll deal with "Illya" later. I want this day to be perfect. No one is going to ruin that.
A/N: What's up I'm back! I'm not even going to make up an excuse, I've just been really stuck with this story lately...
