Yuki's POV
When I open my eyes it's dark, and it takes them a few minutes to adjust.
"Hello love," I hear someone say, as a light tapping on the floor leads next to me.
"Y-Yuni?" I say groggily. I realize I'm on a bed, in a room I don't recognize. "Where am I?" I ask her, trying to sit up. Suddenly a sharp pain shoots through my head, and Yuni grabs me before I fall over. She cradles me in a hug.
"Don't try to move Yuki." she says, laying me back on the bed. "You're in a hospital right now. Rin hurt you," she says, anger laced in her calm voice.
"Um, Yuni.." I say.
"Hm?"
"It's okay," I smile, patting her head. "Don't worry about me, I'm supposed to protect you, remember?"
She smiles at me and sighs. "Geez Yuki, how do you manage to smile at a time like this?"
"Because you're here with me.." I mumble.
A tear slips down her cheek and she wraps me in a hug. "I love you."
"Love you too," I say, kissing her cheek. "Um, can you lay with me until I fall asleep?" I ask shyly.
She nods and hops onto the bed, laying beside me in the cramped space. "Maki wanted to be here too," she says. "But I told her to go home and sleep. She was so worried about you Yuki," she says quietly. "I was worried about you.."
I smile and kiss her head, as I fall asleep, Yuni on my chest.
TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE DEVIL
When I wake up it's still dark, but I see the sun creeping over the horizon. Yuni lays on me still, her cheeks stained with tears as she rests peacefully. I wipe them away and her turquoise eyes flitter open.
"Morning~" she yawns, standing up and stretching her arms. In that moment Yuni is so adorable that the urge to hug her overwhelms me I grab her, meaning to wrap her in my arms. Unfortunately I miss, and she lands on top of me, our lips connecting. My face flushes and her eyes widen.
I pull away and stutter something along the lines of, "I'm so sorry!"
Yuni's face stays level, but she unexpectedly grabs me and connects our lips again. I try to mumble something but she doesn't let go. When we separate for air, a string of saliva connects our lips, and my face is bright pink.
"Um.." I say awkwardly, playing with my sleeve. When I get the nerve to look up, Yuni's face is smiling, but tears are running down her cheeks. "Yuni?!" I exclaim. "What's wrong?!" She doesn't reply but digs her face into my chest and sobs.
"I'm sorry Y-Yuki," is all she says.
"For what Yuni?" I say, calming my voice.
She sniffs, wipes her cheeks and kisses me again. "Just accept the apology, okay master?"
"Okay.."
A/N: This was basically just really sweet part... I guess to show how in love they are... :3 now on with the story:
(EARLIER THAT DAY) CONTINUATION OF LAST CHAPTER'S END
Yuni's POV
"Exactly." As the words come out of Aru's mouth, I lunge at him, my heart on fire. Unfortunately he ducks out of the way too fast and I miss.
"Fuck you Aru!" I scream, clawing at his face. "How dare you hurt my master just to get back at me!!"
He grabs my hand and restrains me as I struggle and growl, whispering in my ear. "It was your fault Yuni, if you had left him alone we would have never hurt him.." He taunts. "He could have had a peaceful life if it wasn't for you, you disgusting fucking mistake." With that I freeze, and fall to my knees. "I hurt Yuki?" I shake my head in disbelief as tears fall down my face. "No.."
I hear a laugh from faraway and look up to see Aru at the end of the alley. "You have one month before we come for you, little sis." he smiles. "Enjoy it."
With that he sprints away and I don't follow, I sit on the ground and sob into my sleeve, until the sky begins to grow dark. I dry my tears, and begin walking to him, to the one I love, to my master, to my dear Yuki. "I won't let him get hurt anymore," I whisper. "Never again."
