When I got home dat afternoon, It was dead quiet. I knew Travis was out making his drops, and mama was still at work, but Izel usually makin' a lot of noise.

"Baybeh girl!?" I shouted fa her

"Yes?!" She shouted back from upstairs.

I walked up thea' and saw ha' sittin' on the bed on ha' laptop.

"You feelin' betta'?" I gave ha a kiss.

"Yes -- I need to talk to you." She closed her laptop.

"Wassam?" I sat down next ta ha.

"What's going on between you and Celeste?"

"What you mean? We just friends."

"Y'all used to be more than just friends, and I wanna know what happened."

I looked at ha and saw she was dead serious.

"Who told you me and her dated?"

"I've got my ways -- Now tell me."

"She just wasn't the girl fa' me." I shrugged.

I really ain't wanna talk ta Izel about my past because I know she'll change her mind about me. If not dat' then she'll act weird around me. I want her ta' know my anger don't get in the way anymore like it used ta.

"That's it?"

"Dats it."

"You two don't have feelings for each other anymore?"

"I don't know about ha', but I'm not down wit her no moe'."

"I believe you." She looked away. "I'm sorry for questioning you like that -- You're my first boyfriend and-"

"You ain't gotta apologize baybeh." I chuckled. "It's cute dat you protective ova' ya man."

She giggled and cuddled up in my arms.

"my man." she smiled.

"Don't get cocky wit it now." I laughed. "You feelin' betta?"

"No -- My stomach is still hurting."

"Aye lil bitch -- If you don't stop hurting my girl, me and you gon' have issues. Na' stop puttin' her through pain." I pinched her stomach.

"Babe, my stomach doesn't talk." She laughed.

"Your stomach betta' be scared of me." I joked. "Ima leave you alone -- I'm gonna be in my room."

"Okay." She got comfortable and I turned her light off.

My phone started ringing and Celeste picture popped up.

"Wassam?"

"August? Can I come over?"

"Uh - For what?"

"So we can talk, duh"

"Aight but only fa' a while. Izel already questioning what happened between us."

"She knows the -- thing?"

"No she don't, yet, but she knows we dated and what not."

I heard her sigh in relief.

"Okay, i'm on my way"

We disconnected and I threw my phone on the bed.

-

"Is she sleep?" Celeste asked quietly as we walked into my room.

"I think she is." I shrugged and opened her door and heard her lil baby snores. I smiled and closed the door.

"So wass'good?" I asked as I sat down on my bed.

"Well, first -- Can we tell her?" She closed my door silently.

"I told you ima tell ha' when I feel like it's the right time."

"Is anytime ever going to be the right time Aug?"

"Yea." I gave her a dumb look.

"I just don't want her to get upset over it and think i'm hiding stuff from her -- but really, it is our business, yet, she's your girlfriend and she deserves to know. I don't want her to get hurt like I did either."

"I told you I ain't like dat' no mo' Cel -- I ain't hook up wit shawty jus' ta go and hurt her like dat'. I been through it and I ain't trynna go through dat again, especially wit her. I think I love ha'."

"Damn!" She dragged. "She got tough boy Aug whipped like that?" She smiled.

"Man shutup -- She ain't got me whipped. I'm not the type of nigga to get whipped." I popped my imaginary colla'.

My door opened and Travis came in.

"Oh -- Wass'good Celly." He smiled and bit his lip.

"Hey Trav." She smiled back.

"Man -- If y'all don't get'on wit allat nasty shit."

"Shutup, anyways, Mama ain't comin' home until lata', so y'all trynna go out or some?"

"I'm down." Celeste smiled and linked arms with him.

"Me too -- I'll go wake up Zel."

I got up from my spot and pushed through those two nasties.

I walked down the hall and quietly opened Zel's do' and saw she was still sleep. My baybeh was fuh'real tired.

"Izel, wake up baybeh." I shoved her a bit.

She ain't even move.

"Trav taking us out ta eat baybeh."

As soon as I said that, she popped up real fast, causing us ta bump heads.

"Damn yo head big ass shit!" I hissed and rubbed my forehead.

"I'm so sorry." She giggled. "But I'm down for food." She smiled and got out her bed and headed ta her close
