Since Mama Sheila didn't want anyone at the house, after we ate, me and August walked over to the second family house, which was behind the house.

He had to leave shortly though because him and Travis had to go make some 'drops', so I'd be alone with my thoughts, once again.

"Do you really have to go with Travis?" I whined.

Right now he was getting dressed in his all black attire, but I was mostly admiring his tattoos and the faded scars on his back.

"Yea, I don't want Trav out thea' by his self tonight - Plus, Zane and Travon gon' be thea'. We'll be aight."

"What do y'all do?" I frowned.

He looked at me and busted out laughing.

"I'm serious August."

"What? You the feds or some? Because you heavily questioning me."

"I just wanna know - You tell me I have no reason to worry, so tell me why."

"Because, don't nobody eva' mess wit us - They know not ta. All we do is sell drugs, baybeh. I'm not going into detail because no telling who you gon tell."

"I don't have anyone to tell." I rolled my eyes.

"Look, I'a try not ta be out long. Cool?"

"Okay, I love you." I got up and gave him a kiss.

"I love you too gorgeous." He flashed that handsome smile and walked out while adjusting his hoodie.

For some reason, I had a bad feeling about them leaving tonight.

I shook that feeling off and turned on netflix.

If August told me they were going to be okay, then I shouldn't worry - Right? I mean, Mama Sheila seems to never worry, and she knows what they go out to do.

I know August and Travis aren't stupid, and they know when something is up.

I decided to just not worry and lay down and watch some more of Degrassi.

While me, Travis, Travon, and Zane sat in the car waiting for customers, I was startin' ta get skeptical.

I looked around and noticed how quiet it was around hea'.

We was in a new neighborhood, but a neighborhood ain't neva' dis quiet in New Orleans.

"Look, dat white boy right thea' comin' dis way." Travis slightly pointed to the boy.

I kept my window rolled up until he knocked on it.

"What it do white boy? - What you want?" Zane had his window rolled down.

"What are you guys selling?"

I looked at Travis and he shook his head.

"We don't dat junk man, get gone." I said.

Whatever dude was on, he was on it bad.

His skin looked like pepperoni and his hair look like it consisted of nothing but lice and musk.

We drove off from him and I noticed him watching the car.

My phone started to vibrate and Izel picture came across my phone.

"Yes ma'am?" I answered.

"Are you guys okay?"

I busted out laughing at ha because she sounded like a child.

"Yes ma, we straight. Why you still up?"

"Because I miss you, and I'm still watching degrassi."

"Well, don't wait up for me. I'a try ta make it home soon."

"Okay, I love you."

"I love you too ma."

I hung up and I could feel Zane and Travon staring at me.

"This nigga deadass in love? She must got something on her for you to be staying with her." Travon spoke.

"I love ha cus she not like dem girls y'all be wit."

"Aye, don't come for Brittany, She a cool girl." Zane spoke.

"Whateva' - Lets hit a corna sto'."

Travis whipped into a convenience store and I got out wit Zane following behind me.

"How you and Brittany doing anyway?" I asked as we walked in.

"Man, we chillin. We keepin' it low for a while because she going through a lil things."

"She straight?" I rose a brow.

"Yea man, it's just family stuff." He shrugged.

"Hope it get betta for ha."

I walked down the aisle whea' the Arizona drinks was and grabbed me one.

I was about to walk away until I felt someone grab me and push me to the ground.

I looked up and next thing I know, I hear loud pops and everything goes black.
