If some of you haven't read my book Randomness, there's a small update about how I'm not going to be making anymore 'Aphmau fan fictions' after I finish my other ones. (I will still be doing the collab Gold, don't worry!)
So... This is pretty much my last Jefflyn book I'll ever make!
Hope you all enjoy this chapter! :)
Jessie's POV
My hands are wrapped around someone's throat, I don't care who it is, I just want to find a new life. To forget all of the bad things I've done in the past. In one swift motion, he pushes me off of him, and red hand marks are evident on his neck. "Who are you?" He blares at me, a furious look on his face.
His voice sounds awfully familiar, but I shrug it off. Both of us are breathing heavily, and I'm tempted to respond, but I don't. A few seconds later, I hear leaves crunch behind me. Hands grab onto my back, and they throw me to the ground. My face comes intact with the ground, and I feel the skin peel off of my hands and cheek.
How did I not notice the person behind me? The two bodies tower over me, and one of them gasps. And I suddenly realize the the that tackled me is a woman. And at this moment I suddenly feel hopeless... Worthless. And then she speaks, and everything seems to fit perfectly together.
"Jessie?"
Aaron's POV
My hands are shaking, so I have to grip onto the hem of my jacket so no one knows how nervous I actually am. I walk into the front doors of the hospital, and the heater warms my skin, taking away my nervous goose bumps. You shouldn't be this nervous. A voice says in my head... But this is life or death for me right now. And I'm not in the mood to see my father's disgusting face once again.
"Can I help you?" A woman asks, and I tense up, not realizing anybody was behind me. What is happening to me? I'm not a mortal, but I know that only three people in this world can kill me. Jeffory Destrey, Travis Abigor, and Lucinda. I actually never figured out her last name. But they all scare the crap out of me. "Hello?" The woman asks again, snapping me out of my thoughts.
How dare she?! Does she not know she's talking to the most powerful being in the world?! My hands slam onto her desk, and she looks at me, unfazed by my sudden actions. "Who are you here for?" She asks in a bored tone, yawning at me. "Katelyn... Katelyn Azura." I tell her, and she laughs lightheartedly under her breath.
"Well, I'm so sorry dear. Katelyn Azura passed away two hours ago. Along with her father. Bless her soul.." The woman, Sasha says, acting as if it happens everyday. I feel something inside of me crack. A longing... Despair. I killed the entire Azura family.
Jeffory's POV
I'm so close. I can feel it. Nothing can go wrong now... Nothing. I know, I'm probably getting my hopes up for nothing. She will still hate me. I won't be the hero in this situation, because I was the one that got her into this mess in the first place. She doesn't know how much we've all been through. She doesn't know how much I actually care about her.
I can't believe I laughed at her when she said her mom passed away. If I had known how much that one small action could hurt her, I wouldn't have done it. Before I get too lost in my thoughts, I feel my legs start to shake. I've been walking for the longest time, and I haven't had any water for days. My breathing starts coming out uneven, and I lean up against a tree. One of the branches breaks, and I fall onto my back. And my eyes close.
I get up off the ground, checking to make sure I still have the healing potion in my pocket. Looking at how much further I have to walk, a navy blue truck stops right next to me. A middle aged man gives me a cautious look before saying "Need a ride?" I nod my head multiple times, and he opens the truck door for me.
I quickly get in, my hands tightly wrapped around the vial in my pocket. He keeps driving down the road, whistling an unfamiliar song as he smacks his hands lightly against the steering wheel. "Where are you going son?" The man asks, probably noticing how young I look by how disheveled my hair and clothes are. "Golden Valley Hospital," I murmur, and the man chuckles under his breath. And I'm glad he doesn't ask any questions.
"We'll be there in ten minutes. Have some water, you're lips are really chap." The man says, and I take the water bottle from his hand without hesitation. Once the liquid touches my lips, I automatically feel wide awake. And we spend the next ten minutes in comfortable silence.
"Here's your stop son." The man says, and I get out of the truck with a wide, but nervous grin on my face. "Th-Thank you." I stutter, and the man laughs while driving away. Turning around, I come face to face with the front doors of the hospital.
Holy crap, I'm actually doing this. I walk in, going straight to the front desk. "I'm here to see Katelyn Azura." Her name sounds weird on my tongue, almost unrecognizable. A girl with white hair glances up at me, a pained look on her face. "I'm sorry sweetie... Katelyn Azura has passed away." I feel my heart stop beating. My ears start ringing, and I feel myself start running.
Probably to go find her. To prove that she's alive. I don't remember when I started running, but anger is coursing through my veins. I walk into a room, and I see Katelyn laying on a table. She looks peaceful, like nothing can go wrong in the world. I rush towards her, putting my hand on her own. But it's cold. And I think, if I hold onto her too tightly, she'll break like a fragile piece of glass.
My hands fumble in my pocket for the healing potion, a determined yet sorrow look plastered to my face. And I grab the vial along with a syringe. Quickly pouring the liquid into the syringe, I poke the needle into her arm. Pulling the needle out, I fall onto my knees, my shoulders shaking. I killed her... I killed her. Until I feel arms pull me up.
"Stop crying. She's not dead." A manly voice rings through my ears, and I look up. Aaron. I choke on my own words, my hands shaking. "She's not dead. But she's not herself. She'll believe anything you say.. Only you." He says, and I know where this is going. He pulls a gun out, and presses it against my temple. "Tell her you hate her, or I'll shoot you in the head." He says, and I go lost for words. I won't say it. "I will not tell lies." And I hear him pull the trigger.
And my eyes open.
