Fifteen is my favorite number, so this chapter will be longer than most other chapters! Haha, sorry for being so gone for so long!
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this chapter!
Gold's POV
Joslyn sprawls out on one of the beds, both of her arms dangling on both sides. Yawning, I lay down on the big red bed across from Joslyn's, gazing up at the ceiling. "Are you guys good?" Jessie asks, and I nod my head. It's a matter of time before Joslyn starts snoring, and I know I won't get any rest if I don't get to sleep before that happens.
Before I shut my eyes, I feel the bed dip, Jessie sitting by my feet. I sit up quickly, gazing into her eyes. "I don't remember you." I don't know why I say it, it was very unnecessary and creates an awkward silence between us. She scratches the back of her neck, a small frown on her face. "I know you don't. It wasn't that long ago though... When I left home. Right after mom and dad got divorced." She whispers in a small, fragile voice. "How old are you then?" I ask out of total curiosity. She laughs, adding "I'm the same age as you and Joslyn. And no, we're not triplets. A year after Jeffory was born, mom had you two.
Three months before you guys were born though, I was born. That's why mom and dad got divorced. I'm the reason why mom an dad got divorced." Memories come flooding into my mind. From my first day of seventh grade to watching as my father and mother said their last goodbye's.
"Maybe it's because of the small amount of blood that we share, or because of that small feeling that I truly know you... But either way I know that nothing is your fault. Dad is the one who caused us all this pain." We both start laughing. And even though this small amount of laughter can take seconds of pain away... I'm glad I'm sharing it with sister.
Travis' POV
In a small time frame of about three hours, we finally have our full proof plan. I have no idea if it'll actually work, but Lucinda explained a lot of things to me. About how if we kill Aaron, thousands of people who are dead or alive... Can finally be broken from his curse.
The only person that pops up into my mind is Katelyn. All I know is that she's in a coma, and maybe if we kill Aaron, her chance of survival could increase. But it's just a theory. I also know that Jeffory has the healing potion. The last healing potion on earth that can heal anyone and anything.
And then I'm snapped out of my thoughts when Lucinda grabs onto my wrist. She can probably feel my pulse, showing her how fast my heart is actually beating. How much I am afraid of dying, being afraid of never truly hearing Katelyn's voice.
"Come on Travis. We don't have that much time." She says, and we slide down the tree, making sure nobody can see us. If you think about it, we're both a threat to this world. No one cares about me, no one has loved me for a long time. And I realize that it's okay if I don't make it through this battle. If Lucinda makes it through and stops Aaron, she can love someone else... And Katelyn can learn to love Jeffory again.
It doesn't matter if I die.
Joslyn's POV
I'm suddenly awaken by men picking me up from under my arms. I look around frantically, no sight of Jessie or Gold anywhere. Shoot. I kick one of the men in the side, but he doesn't even flinch, and I go wide eyed. Two masked men carry me outside, and I'm instantly blinded by the suns rays.
I jerk around, scared for my life as one of the guys cut me. I bite my tongue from screaming, my ears suddenly turning red. Oh wait, if I want to be saved I should scream. "HELP!" Screaming over and over again until I'm shoved into a car, surrounded by men on both sides.
"Shut your mouth sweetheart. We're not going to hurt you, unless you don't cooperate." The man takes off his mask, and his gorgeous blue eyes gaze at me. What am I thinking?! I'm getting kidnapped! "Where are you taking me?" I ask forcefully, the man sitting to the right of me holding my hands behind my back.
The man runs his hair through his dark brown hair, contemplating on whether he should tell me or not. The driver, who continually drives down a dirt road, looks through the mirror and nods. "We're taking you to headquarters... A special someone will be glad to have you there. Joslyn Destrey." The man says, and my breath hitches. He knows my name and he won't give me any information on who this special someone is. This only means one thing. Death.
It takes us a good thirty minutes to get there, I tried to get out at least fifty times, but obviously failed every time. Every time I tried, every time green eyes to the right of me would cut me. I'm now only afraid of bleeding to death.
My back aches as blue eyes shoves me out the door, continually using the words 'idiot' and 'dodohead'. I didn't know five year olds could kidnap people. I look up, coming face to face with legitimately a mansion. My jaw drops, and green eyes chuckles.
I don't even try to run. I'm too curious to see what happens next, that I'm literally the first one to the door. Blue eyes opens it, and I expect to see hundreds of people, but the mansion is deserted and silent. I don't dare take another step into the room.
I don't know who pushes me, but they push me to the center of the ginormous room. All you can hear is my quavery breathing, and my feet as they tap lightly against the tile floors. The men start laughing, probably at my childish and nervous behavior.
And I try to ignore them... But I don't have to when someone comes creeping down the stairs, and all of the laughing stops. I'm on edge, slowly waiting as the tall dark being comes walking down the stairs. I can't tell who it is, not yet anyways.
The person stops at one of the last steps, and all I can see is their mouth, watching as their once neutral lips form into a smirk. And I realize it's a man by how much facial hair he has. He takes off his gloves, staying silent the entire time as his eyes are probably trained on me.
Stuffing his gloves into his pockets, he takes his hood and slowly pulls it down. The smirk is still on his face even when he says "Well darling, what a lovely day it 'tis to have a Destrey set foot in my home.... I don't have visitors often." His masculine voice takes me aback.
And in that small amount of time I realize who it is, and I take a couple steps back, resulting in me falling onto my butt. He comes within feet of me, and my hands start shaking madly.
"Don't be afraid darling... This isn't even the best part."
