The Lost Queen

Chapter Forty-One

Daya's P.O.V.

"Mommy, what's a pull game?" Malik asked looking up at me innocently.

The room went silent and everyone stared down at him in shock and amusement. James placed a grin on his face and walked towards Malik crouching down in front of him.

"Well buddy, when two people really love each other-" He started. I gasped and placed my hands over Malik's ears.

"No. Don't listen to Uncle James, he doesn't always know what it means either." Chole chuckled high-fiving a laughing Destiny.

"Really Chole? Because I think it's you who stops me from doing so, 'James don-" James smirked mocking Chole with a high pitched voice before soon being interrupted by my mate.

"We don't want to hear what you and my sister do at night." Kaden groaned flicking James in the back of the head multiple times throughout the sentence.

The room burst into chuckles and Malik turned looking at all of us.

"Am I invisible?" Malik asked looking back up at me, wondering why we are ignoring him.

I laughed and picked him up swinging him on my hip.

"You'll learn one day buddy. But for now, we are calling it a night." I told him kissing his cheek.

"Goodnight everyone! I hope you all are packed and ready for tomorrow." I said waving to them, while Kaden picked up Aiden from my mom and took my hand in his.

Everyone smiled and returned my goodnight. Soon after other members started heading to bed.

We walked upstairs with the kids in our arms, almost half asleep. I have noticed that they sleep a lot.

Once we reached the room door Kaden opened it up and we both dumped the boys on the bed causing them to giggle.

"I'll go get their pajamas out of my room." I told Kaden walking out from the bathroom in his shirt and boxers.

He nodded and countinued on playing  around with the boys.

I walked out of the room and downstairs to mine. I got out the three huge suitcases I squished mine and the boys stuff in and went through looking for their sleepwear. Once I found both of them clothes, something in the corner of the room on my small night stand.

I cautiously stepped towards it. Lay there was a burnt looking rose along with a small card with writing on it. I slowly picked up the card and as soon as I read it my heart dropped.

'See you very soon, my Queen'

I gasped and automatically dropped the card on the floor like it caught on fire.

My heart is beating out of my chest and I could feel my palms sweating.

I'm really getting tired of all these sick fucking people gunning at me. I have kids that I have to take care of and protect now. If even one of these slimy bitches lay a finger on one of my babies I will rip them apart limb for limb.

By now I'm fuming. I'm trying so hard to control my emotions before I go back up there with my mate and the boys but, blood is literally boiling right now.

'Destiny?' I asked for her through the mindlink.

'Yes, are you okay?' She answered.

'Not really, but can you watch the boys for a bit? I will tell you guys what's going on after Kaden and I talk.'

'Of course and you better tell me everything.' She said ending the mindlink.

Next is Kaden.

'Kaden we need to talk. Drop the kids off with Destiny and come to my old room.' I spoke to him.

'Okay, but what's going on?'

'I'll tell you when you get here.'

I picked up the card from the floor and sat on the bed staring at the letters on it. Not a minute later Kaden burst through the bedroom door. Once he saw I was okay he closed the door and sat beside me.

"What's wrong, love?" He asked shaking his arm around my shoulders.

I leaned into him and handed him the card, along with the burnt rose. He looked down at the items with curiosity before reading. His eyebrows quickly turned down and a glare over took his face.

He growled at the card and rose throwing it to the other side of the room. I could feel his wolf surfacing and his eyes changing from brown to black.

"Babe, calm down. If you start freaking out then I'm going to start freaking out." I said trying to calm him, while placing my hands on his face so he could look into my eyes.

His breathing eventually evened, but he still had a grown upon his face. He looked at the blank wall, and I could tell he was thinking hard about something.

"Kaden, I'm scared." I whimpered softly breaking the silence and him out of his thoughts.

His head snapped to me and his eyes softened.

"These are the same people behind my kidnapping. I wouldn't want the same thing that happened to me to happen to our kids. We have all already been through so much and now we have a baby on the way. I just want all of this war and fighting to end." I cried silently with tears rolling down my face. I placed my hand on my stomach where our child will grow.

Now, it was time for Kaden to calm me down. He embraced me in a hug, whipping my tears away.

"Don't be scared, love. I promise you, I will never allow anyone to lay a finger on you, the boys, or our unborn child. There is no way to prevent this war, Daya. It has been started, since before you or even I were born. It's up to us to end it." Kaden whispered in my ear with determination.

I nodded my head into his chest and we just say there in each others arms for a moment.

We will get through this, together.
