I groaned as two arms wrapped around me. I winced in pain as my body pleaded to stay still. Zeus placed me on a couch before Aphrodite rolled my shirt up enough to see the gash.

"Zeus," Aphrodite breathed. "She needs stitches or something."

"She isn't safe on Earth," Zeus said frustration evident in his gaze.

"I can try to clean her wounds but she has to be a fighter to make it through this," Aphrodite said softly. "Was Ares with her?"

"No, I believe he is still in the underworld," Zeus said as Aphrodite grabbed a cloth soaking the fabric. She pushed gently trying to clean the cut as blood oozed from the tear. I fought the urge to scream as she wrapped my waist in gauze.

"Zeus," I reached for him. Immediately he took my hand gently. "Are you okay?"

"You are seriously injured and you are worried about me?" He laughed as I looked up at him. My body sweated profusely as I clung to Zeus. I saw the grim expression on his face and Aphrodite mirrored his look.

"Did Hades use his sword?" Aphrodite asked her voice level, too level.

"Yes," Zeus said releasing my hand. "You should rest." Both Zeus and Aphrodite left the room leaving me on the couch. The room spun as I tried to breathe regularly. My breathing became a struggle as I was pulled into the darkness.

"Clarissa, you should know that nothing I do is an accident," Hades voice laughed. I faced him as he approached me. "That sword will kill you and then you will kill Zeus."

"No I won't!" I screamed as a brilliant light filled the darkness.

My eyes flew open as I sat up slowly. I looked down at the gauze my eyes widening. My blood instead of being red had a black color, like Hades sword. I reached back unwrapping the gauze exposing the wound. My lips parted slightly. The dark color wasn't just the blood but had branched off the wound. Tears built in my eyes as I got to my feet. I raced to the mirror seeing my blue gaze was now black. I turned walking to the door. I heard Zeus and Aphrodite talking quietly outside.

"Do you think the sword will affect her?" Aphrodite asked.

"I hope not. She's already so powerful she would be a danger to us all," Zeus said as I opened the door. Both Zeus and Aphrodite looked at my wound with fear.

"Hades wants me to kill you, Zeus," I murmured. "I told him no."

"There must be a way to slow the progression," Aphrodite muttered as Zeus looked at me.

"If she can get the purest water she might be okay. The water may take some the poison right out of her," Zeus said after a minute of contemplation.

"Poseidon could get the water for her," Aphrodite said quickly.

"The water as I said would only slow the progress," Zeus said as I nodded.

"Slowing the poison will give me time to figure out how to fix it," I said firmly.

"This means a trip to Earth," Aphrodite sighed. Zeus pinched his nose in frustration before conjuring a sword similar to mine.

"I'll take you to Earth but you must stay close to me no matter what," Zeus said to me. I took his hand before he transported us to Earth. I stood on the edge of the water as Zeus called out. "Poseidon!" I watched with shock as a man rose out of the water. I jumped back as he stepped onto the beach.

"You called brother," Poseidon flashed a smile.

"This is Clarissa and she needs your purest water," Zeus said as I steadied myself. I walked closer to Poseidon showing him the cut.

"I can't heal her," Poseidon said his smile gone.

"I don't expect you to. I just need to slow the virus down before I kill Zeus," I said as my voice shook. I felt Hades watching us. I spun trying to locate him but couldn't. "Hades is here somewhere."

"Fine I'll give you the water," Poseidon said as Zeus kept an eye on the surrounding area. I gasped as Poseidon held his hand over the wound. The icy water ran across the gash before Poseidon pulled away. I looked to see the darkness had faded a little.

"We should go now," Zeus said as Poseidon dove back into the water. I gripped Zeus's hand as he teleported us back to Olympus. I noticed Aphrodite first followed by Ares. He must have gotten out of the underworld. I walked over to them facing Ares first.

"You're back," I smiled wrapping my arms around him. He stiffened in my arms clearly uncomfortable. I stepped out of his arms as Aphrodite laughed.

"God of war hates hugs," she smirked as he glared.

"I'm making up for you. You hug everyone," he sniped before walking away.

"You look better," Aphrodite smiled at me.

"I am. The water lessened the discomfort and reduced the darkness," I said softly. "Hades was watching us. I don't get why he didn't attack."

"Probably didn't want to face the three of you," Aphrodite said as I nodded. Something wasn't sitting right with me about the entire situation. Why wouldn't he attack when we were vulnerable?

"Maybe," I muttered absently. I looked down at the cut to see the darkness had grown bigger than before. The water had made the virus spread instead of helping. I trembled as I looked at the wound. Hades order filled my mind as I struggled to keep control. "Get Zeus!" Aphrodite saw the cut before sprinting to find Zeus. I leaned against the wall trying to calm my rising panic.

"Kill him Clarissa," Hades voice echoed in my head. "Just kill Zeus and this will be over."

"Get out of my head!" I said tightly. I tried desperately to push Hades from my mind.

"You are weak just like my son!" Hades spat as my vision blurred. "Your strength is waning Clarissa."

"I'd rather die then help you!" I growled as the dark wound pulsed with power. I was losing this battle and knew the only way to save everyone was to leave. I wouldn't hurt Zeus and I couldn't let Hades win!
