I stood on the battlefield looking at an unarmed Derek as my heart pleaded against my head. In my mind I knew he was the enemy but my heart didn't agree.

"I love you. Fight Hades," Derek said approaching me slowly. His hand caressed my cheek as I stared into his blue eyes.

"CLARISSA HELP ME," Hades screamed breaking the connection between Derek and me. I turned to see Hades losing his battle with Zeus. I took off sprinting toward Hades. I brought my sword up just in time to stop Zeus from killing Hades. I braced myself for Zeus's power but instead he stopped fighting against me.

"If you want to kill me then kill me," Zeus said his eyes filled with sadness. Again I felt torn and didn't know why. Why couldn't I kill Zeus without hesitating?

"Kill him Clarissa, he is a threat to us," Hades whispered in my ear. A single tear slipped down my face before I went flying across the clearing. I groaned hitting the grass. Hades tossed me across the clearing! The sweet melody floated around me as my mind went fuzzy. I got to my feet wincing before I looked around for my target. Derek walked toward me as I smiled. I gripped my sword taking a swing at Derek. He jumped back but didn't try to hurt me. Hades words echoed in my head, he is a threat to us, kill him.

"Come back to me," Derek begged but all I could think about was Hades. "You are the love of my life, even if you can't remember." I saw over his shoulder Ares creeping up behind him. He gripped his sword about to stab him when everything became clear. I scrambled to Derek pushing him out of the way. Ares's blade plunged through the weakness in my armor and into my stomach as my blood spilled from the wound. I loved Derek and the Sirens had tried to control me. Ares looked at me in shock before pulling his blade out. I covered the cut but my blood seeped through my hand. I fell back onto the ground. Derek rushed toward me but Ares acted quickly. Ares took another swing at Derek but this time I sent my power into Ares launching him back. Derek put his hands on my stomach as I smiled weakly at him.

"We have to stop meeting like this," I coughed out trying to lighten the mood. Derek didn't laugh. I missed his laugh. Blood pooled at the corner of my mouth as Zeus and Hades turned toward me. They must have felt the energy shift. Hades glared at me as Derek scooped me up teleporting us to Olympus. I whimpered as he placed me on the bed. Derek pulled the armor off before cleaning the deep wound. Derek wrapped the wound attempting to slow the bleeding. We sat in silence until Zeus arrived. Zeus quickly blasted me with enough magic for my body to mend itself. I sat up cautiously as Derek watched me.

"How did you beat a Siren's song?" Zeus asked as my eyes locked onto Derek.

"Ares almost killed Derek," I whispered as Derek sat next to me.

"I don't understand how you ignored an order though," Derek said taking my hand. "I killed you because of a Siren yet you saved me in spite of one."

"I used to be immune to Sirens but when I died I came back weaker than before. My love for you broke through the Siren haze," I said looking into his blue eyes. "Did you get my message?" I needed to know if they helped Bella's daughter. I couldn't help but blame myself for being weak and allowing the Sirens to control me.

"The child is safe," Zeus interrupted.

"I'm glad. I didn't want Hades to hurt her too," I muttered as Derek stood.

"Can you give us a minute Zeus?" Derek asked abruptly. Zeus turned walking out of the room. Derek faced me his lips crashing against mine. A warmth filled my body as I wrapped my arms around him. Derek's hands cupped my face as the kiss deepened. I couldn't believe I forgot what love feels like. I tugged at his shirt ripping it off him. He slipped my clothes off as his lips caressed my neck. A gasp rushed past my lips as my heart beat rapidly in my chest. Our lips tugged at each other our bodies melding together sending a fire rushing through me.

"I love you," I breathed heavily our bodies slick with sweat. He collapsed next to me a small smirk of pleasure tugging at his lips. I curled up on his bare chest as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"And I you," Derek said pressing his lips to my forehead briefly. I tried to relax in his arms but all I could think of was Hades. Hades wouldn't rest until I lay dead before him and that scared me. I didn't have the luxury of lying with Derek. Instantly I jumped out of bed pulling jeans and a silk pink tank top on as Derek protested. "Where are you going?"

"I need to talk to Zeus. I guarantee Hades isn't relaxing right now," I said firmly tossing my golden hair out of my face. Derek reached for me but I turned rushing from the room. I couldn't allow myself to get lost in Derek's eyes. I located Zeus rather quickly because he was arguing with a large portion of his army.

"She's a danger to us. Her following orders changes everything," one person shouted.

"That was the Sirens not her," Zeus tried to defend me but I could tell he was losing.

"So what? She is a danger. She has too much power to be allowed to go free. One Siren could wipe us all out with her," a second one chimed in. The longer I listened the more correct they seemed. I am a risk to them I just didn't know how to fix it.
